To find out more the Clek website has this handy comparison chart.
We loved Conrad’s Fllo so much that we decided to upgrade Arden to a Clek as well. We have two cars and in order to make things a little easier we figured we should have at least three carseats. So when I saw a deal on Amazon for a Clek Foonf I jumped on it and got Arden a pink one 😉 She was absolutely thrilled.
I was a tad worried about the pink color because Arden climbs up into her seat herself which means lots of shoe action going on. The fabric is removable, but isn’t machine washable so it needs to be spot cleaned. And you know what? I haven’t had to clean it, not even once! Shocking, right? That green guard Crypton fabric is magic, I tell you.
Oh and did I mention how much happier Conrad is in his Fllo? It’s so much easier buckling him in now. He loves being up high and seeing everything. They can even hold hands now 😉 Love it. Here area few pictures of them in their new car seats.
And just so you can get a better idea of how the fit, here’s a few pictures of the car seats without the littles.
We have a Toyota Prius V by the way, and you can see how much room there is. If need be, I can sit in between the two car seats with a seat belt on too!
You can see the height differences in the two seats really well here. Keep in mind that the headrest on Arden’s Foonf is set higher to accommodate her height.
We are super happy with our new Clek car seats and they really work so much better for us. The Clek car seats are definitely an investment, but I think it’s worth it. With their combination of eco-friendliness, safety features and great design – it’s just one of those things I’m willing to spend a little more on. I’d love to know what features you guys were most interested in when buying carseats for your children! And who out there has tried a Clek? What did you guys think?

I actually had no idea what I was going to do until a week before. I found this adorable shirt on Etsy and things kind of went from there. Thank god for Amazon prime!

He’s wearing my old shirt from when I was a toddler and his pants are from here. He’s also wearing this necklace.
Okay so, I need some feedback from all of you. It’s almost time to do the old switcheroo from an infant seat (we use this one) to a convertible. Arden is currently rear-facing in a Maxi Cosi Pria 70 and while she has no issues with it and we like it to…I’m seriously considering the Foonf.
We really do like our Pria carseat, but the Foonf has some amazing attributes. It’s eco-friendly because the seat can be fully recycled and there are no harmful flame retardants added to the fabric. LOVE that. I also love it’s narrow footprint, the Pria is pretty substantial in our car right now. Let’s not forget to mention the fact that it has an anti-rebound bar. I don’t know why more seats don’t have that. Oh and the crypton fabric is supposed to be divine…water beads right off of it. One thing I saw in reviews though was that some thought it was uncomfortable and hard. So I’m not too sure on that score. The major downfall with this seat? It’s almost double the price of the Pria. So that’s where I’m stuck. Is this seat really worth the extra $200?
The Pria has served us well for the past two years. Arden thinks it’s comfy and the cup holder comes in so handy! She wasn’t a fan of the infant seat, but as soon as we moved her to this one she was a happy camper. The black part of the seat is removable for cleaning. I usually throw it in the washer on delicate and then hang dry it. It dries super fast. The gray head rest fabric is spot clean though. And as you can see it’s right where the head (aka mouth) is, so the fact that it can’t be removed and cleaned is not ideal. Also the headrest adjusts and I’ve found our’s is hard to get locked in place. I’m not sure if that’s just our seat or across the board though. Pulling the straps out and making them looser can be a pain and sometimes (not often) the straps get twisted around in the buckles, which can be a little annoying, but definitely not a make or break.
What do you guys think? Is the splurge worth it for the Foonf? How many of you have it and love/hate it? What about the Pria? Any of you have experience with both seats and can help me out?

I actually am doing a little bit of a different format for this week’s giveaway. I’ve posted the giveaway on the Copy Cat Chic YouTube channel. You’ll need to check out the video and enter to win on the YouTube page. Also while you’re there, feel free to browse all of the videos I’ve posted to so far and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you guys on what sorts of videos you’d like to see!
Here’s what I’ll be giving away this week:
Included in this giveaway:
We have several pairs and we love them. I’d say they’re heirlooms and definitely one of those must-keep for when your babies are grown-up with kids of their own. If it weren’t for the tiny issue that our older pairs are so “well loved”. In fact, Arden loved her first pair (a pair of butter yellow ones) so much she wore a hole in them. Which is pretty hard to do, by the way, the leather on these puppies is thick.
I met Susan, the creator of Freshly Picked at a conference and she was the nicest, most down-to-earth person. I immediately became an even bigger fan. We have platinum, lemon (not available right now) and the most adorable pair of camos in our arsenal right now. Arden’s wearing the platinum and Conrad finally fits his camos 🙂 Here’s a pic of us at the farmer’s market this weekend. They love each other so much 🙂
Anyways, I digress, back to the giveaway at hand. One lucky reader will win a pair of Freshly Picked moccasins of their very own. You can enter to win using the Rafflecopter widget below.
It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Mama Style post and this one’s a doozy, so get your reading glasses on! The reason for the hiatus? I really kind of hate taking pictures of myself and I was hoping to get over that hurdle and model these shirts for you. It didn’t happen, sorry, BUT I still want to share with you an amazing resource for nursing wear: Boob Designs. The name is a little extreme, as is the logo, I know 😉 But they are experts at this nursing-wear business. I’ve mentioned them in the past (here and here), but I wanted to explain more about why I love them. And as an FYI I have to say that I was given a couple of Boob pieces a little while ago to review, but the rest I’ve acquired on my own, because I’m drinking the kool-aid. I wasn’t given any cash-money to write this post.
I love this outfit because you get the comfy boyfriend jeans and quality nursing top. And then you’ve got a fun jacket and, of course, your statement shoes. BTW I’ll never understand why ladies would want to spend $900 on a pair of shoes that will be out of style in a season or two (although these Rockstuds have been around for 3 or 4, I know). I’d rather spend (a lot) less for a inspired/similar style and not feel bad when their time is over, but that’s just me. Of course if I had a G to drop on a pair shoes I might think differently 😉 Might as well throw this fashion find in:
Now, $16 is almost obscene it’s so low, so the jury’s out on this on folks, just keep that in mind! If you get them let us know how you like ’em! Moving on, here’s another super playful (albeit super-trendy) outfit that would be kind of fun to try.
I own this skirt and like it! No shame in my game 😉

And I don’t own these sunnies, so unfortunately I can’t vouch for them, but they look fun don’t they?
Anyways, back to the matter at hand. I hope some of you nursing Mama’s will give Boob a try, I don’t think you’ll regret it. I know I was converted after trying my first shirt. Come and let me know if you do!
The first store I’m going to cover in my Mama Style Mini Series is Kohl’s. Have you guys seen their selection lately? Lots of stylish options to choose from for such great prices. I especially love the LC Lauren Conrad collection. Lauren designs such adorable pieces with just the right amount of modest.
