You guys haven’t seen my master bedroom for awhile and it’s because not much has changed in here since we’ve moved in. It just hasn’t been much of a priority lately, but I felt like it really needed a little bit of love to freshen it up and make it less neglected looking.

Color Trends | Navy and Gold Fall Decor
Navy is such a fun color for fall this year don’t you think? Sometimes a color really speaks to me for a season. A couple of years ago it was green or sometimes *ahem* most of the time I like neutrals. But this year it’s all about that navy blue. Can a blue tone be warm? Impossible right? But it really does feel warm, I guess, when you pair it with golden mustard and rustic metallic tones. Do you like to pick different color-schemes for each season or do you stick with more traditional colors year after year?

New Living Room with Walmart
You might all remember peeking at what the living room looked like right after we moved in, and a little bit later on, and it worked for the moment. It was all furniture from the old house, and pieces I loved, but it didn’t really work for our new, more petite, living room. For one thing you opened the front door and would knock right into either the sofa arm or you’d get stuck on the rug (which was a teensy bit too big). It took me a few months of deliberation and seeing how we use the space, or need to use the space. And not to mention, lots of different room plans! But I finally came up with a design that both the Mr and I agreed on and one that would work well for us as a family.

TOTAL | $2,398
PILLOW 1 $20 | PILLOW 2 $27 | PILLOW 3 $17 | FAUX FUR $15 | ART $254 | THROW $50 | BEADS $27 | COFFEE TABLE $241 | OTTOMAN $299 | SOFA $1260 | RUG $188
This lovely space by Abbie Naber has me feeling blue in the best possible way! The inky rug’s palette is picked up perfectly in the sofa pillows and abstract art, and the variety of plants and cozy-looking textiles gives the room a lush vibe. The coffee table adds a nice touch of glam as well. What’s your favorite part of this chic spot?

We moved! Living Room Sneak Peek
So, big news! We moved! We closed on a house a couple of months ago and we finally moved in. We’re still unpacking and trying to put things away, but we’re slowly getting there. I thought it would be a good idea to take it one room at a time until we’ve worked our way through the entire house. The living room is the first room you see upon entering, so I thought that would be the perfect place to start. Once everything has been stowed away, the fun part begins: time to decorate!
Designer Tech | The Samsung Frame TV Review
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a living room update over here. The wall you can’t see is actually where my desk used to be. We’ve mixed things up recently and I’m pretty excited about the changes.
I loved having my desk and being able to work in the living room. It’s such a beautiful, airy space, but it got pretty old trying to keep my desk functional AND looking pretty all the time. I figured it was time to relocate it elsewhere. I missed having this corner tied into the rest of the living room.
When I was offered a chance to receive the latest Samsung Frame TV I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to rework this corner. We had only one TV, hidden away in our family room, and I’ve always hesitated adding a TV to the living room. I didn’t want a huge, black screen taking away from the room’s character. The Frame solved that dilemma perfectly – I can have a TV in the room without it looking obvious. In fact, it looks like a piece of art, and was designed in collaboration with designer Yves Béhar to be exactly that. It is the perfect accessory for the space.

Overstock’s Club O
This post is brought to you by Overstock.
Sounds like a fancy night club “Club O“, doesn’t it? A little bit? You all know how much I love Overstock.com. Not a week goes by where I don’t link to them 😉 What I’ve never mentioned before on the blog (and something you should know) is that Overstock has a loyalty program. I think a lot of us order enough from Overstock to justify the $19.95 annual membership fee. Yep, you saw that correctly, it’s less than $20 a year. Pretty worth it in my eyes, and you’ll see why below!

36 Hours | Ithaca, New York
Hi folks, Audrey S. here! My husband and I marked 4 years of marriage last week and celebrated with a night of glamping. In case you’re not familiar, glamping is just what it sounds like — glamorous camping! Reaching this decision was just like anything else in marriage — compromise! I’m more of an outdoor adventurer, he’s more of an anything-that-involves-air-conditioning type of guy :D. Cue Firelight Camps in Ithaca, New York, the perfect blend of nature and luxury.
