Today I’m teaming up with Marshalls to surprise three of my Pinterest followers w a box full of Marshalls products – that I selected based off their Pinterest board. When Marshalls approached me to be a part of the their “Pin Pals” campaign, I was pretty excited. I find it so fun shopping for others. It really gets you in the “holiday spirit”, am I right? Want to see what I got for them? Read on!
Just like Marshalls, Pinterest is a constant source of inspiration – you never know what surprises you’re going to find. After checking out my Pin Pals’ Pinterest pages I headed over to my local Marshalls to chose some fun products that I thought they’d enjoy. I had fun browsing the store, as they is such a plethora of fun products in every color and size and theme. Just check out this amazing wall of metallics…it started at platinum to silver to anthracite to gold to rose gold to copper to bronze…it was pretty awe-inspiring 😉
And here is what I chose for my Pin Pals. I decided to take a look at the overall trend of color and home decor style of the pins they pinned on Pinterest and take it from there. As you can tell, one was more of a romantic and into blush tones, one was into very chic and gold glam looks, and the other was softer and tended to go for a more modern country feel.
I love Marshalls for clothing steals, but never really focused on their home department much…and they have some great items you guys! I’ve been missing out! I decided I couldn’t help but do some shopping for myself as well 😉 I wanted to spend less than $100 and try to completely transform my living room for fall (about time right?!). After browsing the store for a little bit (as you might have seen if you follow my Instagram stories) I gathered quite a variety of products. Basically I collected all the products that caught my eye and that I thought looked “fallsy” 😉 Once I had a bunch of products to choose from, I culled it down to a few with a cohesive theme for fall. That theme? I decided to add some rich green into my decor.
As you know I love decorating with neutrals! Why? Because it’s the perfect base to switch out your decor whenever the mood strikes. Since my living room is decorated in whites, creams, grays and a hint of black. It was super easy to create a “new” feel but introducing green. Now, most people think of spring when you suggest green, but inspiration piece was this great black, white and green plaid pillow from Ralph Lauren Home. Once I had my inspiration and theme, everything kind of fell into place.
This amazing, green glass bottle. It’s large and made from recycled glass…in Spain. AND it was only $13. Such a steal for such a statement piece, right? I had to get one for one of my Pin Pals too! The dark branches were another added touch. Perfect for adding height and it makes the perfect contrast to that green bottle. Definitely brings that Halloween fall feel 😉
Next up, my built-ins needed some updating. So I switched out the old for a couple of new additions from Marshalls. This black chickenwire glass bottle was a fun find. The black makes it work for Halloween. To add some green in, I bought this great grayish-green pumpkin from my local patch and added the dried wreath I found in the clearance section at Marshalls. Perfect compliment.
On the other side, I found this uniquely-shaped vase that was perfect for my over-sized air plant. The plant has has a sort-of wild look to it – again perfect for Halloween. The wooden tray from Marshalls was a fun way to make this little vignette stand out a bit. Love how the crystal gives it a mystical touch for Halloween.
