With the holidays over and all of the Christmas decor packed away, I’m starting to slowly switch gears. The house felt like it was missing something once all the fun holiday decorations came done. So I’ve starting thinking about moving things around and restyling spaces. One easy place to start with is the front door area. First impressions and all right? It makes sense because having a clean and good looking entry really sets the tone. Well our doorway has been pretty neglected these days, so it was about time we paid it a little attention, don’t you think?
I partnered with Kirkland’s because not only do they have amazing prices on pretty much everything, but their tagline is just perfect for this project: “Your Doorway to Home“. I knew they’d be able to help me out for this quickie revamp without doing too much damage to my wallet.

These aren’t your grandma’s dining room chairs. Actually, come to think of it, they could be! Adding mid century chairs to your dining room table is an easy way to bring the dining room up to modern speed while also giving a nod toward the retro era we love. Choose one, like in Becca Stephen’s beautiful room above, or mix and match for a casual look.

The first week of 2017 is down for the count. Happy Friday! I keep seeing everyone’s plans and resolutions for the year to come and I’ve still yet to any. I was a couple of weeks (months) behind everyone when it came to Christmas decorating…so I guess it’s fitting that I’m behind on the resolution front too 😉 Instead? I think I’ll take some more time to relax and pamper, why not right?
And speaking of pampering…I decided to partner with World Market today and bring you a home spa themed Five for Fifty. Did you know that World Market has some amazing bath and body products? I’m a sucker for good packaging. Here are some of my favorite picks. And in case you’re wondering where the main image is from, it’s from the gorgeous Farmhouse Inn and Spa. I snapped it on my last visit there!

I’m already thinking about how to start living healthier for the 2017. The holidays are always full of temptations aren’t they? Starting with a major sugar rush from Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving feasts (yes, plural) and then ending up with a plethora of Christmas cookies. I’ve been trying to stay on top of things, but clothing is definitely a little tight right now! I haven’t been exercising or eating as healthy has a should be. I’m sure you all have the same problem, am I right? So I decided there had to be some convenient and time-saving options available for the hardworking family like us. After doing some major research and trial and error, I found three GREAT companies that I highly recommend. I’ve tried and vetted all three and am a huge fan. They make it easy to start being healthier right now, no excuses.
