This bedroom by One Kings Lane was a close runner-up in a recent room redo vote, and I just couldn’t get it out of my mind! It has such a fresh look with its mix of sleek upholstered pieces and sculptural furnishings—all in a cool, neutral palette. That oversized mirror makes such a dramatic statement and no doubt brings lots of natural light into the space, and the modern wingback bed looks like the coziest spot to stay up late with a good book. I love the accent chair as well—anyone have one in their bedroom that’s not perpetually covered in clothes? 😉
This chic dining room by the Design Co came so close to winning a recent room redo vote that we just had to give it the star treatment too! Plus it’s in the same space as this gorgeous living room that we’ve covered before. In this dining area, the dark, mid-century table and side chairs stand out beautifully against the creamy walls, artwork, and shag rug. The silver chandelier looks fabulous with the gray pillows on the upholstered chairs and proves that brass isn’t always best despite its hip status these days. Lastly, four of those lovely, simple vases are going for a song—don’t miss out!
Our latest room redo vote winner, from House Seven Design, is a cozy, textural space that proves you don’t need a fancy pants designer to have a beautiful home. It also gives me the perfect opportunity to use IKEA’s new Färlöv sofa—what a steal! The natural fiber rug and basket look splendid alongside the warm wood tones of the grape vine and coffee table, and the leggy sling chairs are a perfect foil for a skirted sofa. Kudos to the homeowners for creating such a gorgeous and inviting space (and don’t miss the kitchen and dining room photos)!
Amber Interiors’ design for client “second time’s a charm” strikes again with this colorful bedroom (check out our living room redo from the same home here). Vibrant vintage textiles spice up the white walls and neutral furnishings, while the light wood tones have a modern-Scandinavian vibe to them. The sculptural ottoman has to be my favorite piece in the room—it may even be too pretty to end up covered in laundry! Chunky, decorative beads (seen here on the lamp) seem to be popping up more and more these days…would you accessorize your accessories?
This über cool home office by Emily Henderson is giving me major motivation this work week. The custom desk is a thing of beauty, and the black and white gallery wall from Minted is the perfect backdrop for this eclectic workspace. The deep blue curtains and wall color work so well given how much natural light this room gets, while the gleaming brass accessories and desk legs add a nice hint of glamour. Now if only my fig tree would grow to even half that size!
