A Holiday Stoop with Walmart

Our front stoop was looking pretty sad and droopy. I hadn’t really done much with it since we moved in, so I figured it was time to give a lil sprucing up for the holidays! It was about time to make a good first impression. My old doormat was in definite need of a replacement and I feel like it’s not the holidays until a wreath is hanging on the front door, am I right? 🙂

I also wanted to replaced the dated looking sconce and numbers with something a little more modern looking. Our stoop at this house was much more roomy than our last entryway, in fact it was begging for a little seating area. After browsing the Walmart site for a bit, I figured out my game plan. You can even order something online and pick it up at your local Walmart store in the same day! Talk about instant gratification. Or shipping is free over $35! Walmart has such a huge variety of items both online and in-store it’s hard to narrow down the choices. In fact, I found myself getting more than one option for things and then just returning the item I didn’t use. Returns at Walmart are super easy too, which is always super important in my book!

I was pretty excited about this new light fixture for under $35! Perfectly modern farmhouse right? AND it gives off so much more light than my old one. And I’ve always wanted to be able to use these bistro chairs somewhere. Now I have the perfect spot! I’m still deciding on the table…should I go with one that matches, a wooden one, a white one or a square wooden one….oh the choices. Which one should I pick? Well, in the meantime, this little poinsettia is doing the trick 😉
