Design Dilemma | Sarah Eisler Great Room

copycatchic interior design dilemma a modern farmhouse living room and dining room for around $3000 luxe living for less budget home decor and design

Last month I started this new blog/YouTube series with Coby O’Sullivan’s sitting room, and this month I took on Sarah Eisler‘s great room! I’ve followed Sarah on Instagram for awhile now, being a equestrian lover and her being in the horse world. So when I saw her design dilemma submission come through, I knew I wanted to help a fellow horse-lover out 🙂 Sarah moved into her new home not too long ago and needed some help with her combined living and dining room. AND she needed it all on a pretty tight budget…for around $3,000. So I put together a design for her that covers the main pieces that she’ll need to outfit the space and she can fill it all in with accessories as needed. Take a look and let me know  what you think!

Here is Sarah’s before picture of the room. This is the sale listing photo, so not her furniture. She’s also painted it Sherwin Williams Tree Swallow and Requisite Grey.

And the inspiration images that Sarah gave me were all client work that I did in the past! You can check them out here: Naomi’s living room, Julie’s dining room, Dani’s living/dining room and Anne’s dining room.

Design Dilemma | Coby O’Sullivan

Copycatchic design dilemma a coastal kid-friendly sitting room for Coby O'Sullivan for under $4500 luxe living for less budget home decor and design

Remember when I asked if you guys had any design dilemmas? Well, it’s been a little while, but here’s why! I’m starting a new YouTube series with videos helping you guys with your decorating questions. I wanted to share with you more about how my design process works and hopefully you can learn from them and just plain enjoy them. Take a look at the first reader request I took on, Coby’s sitting room!

Do you have a design dilemma?

Guess what? I’m bringing back our client room designs…well…sort of 😉 I’m now taking on a select few projects to feature on the Copy Cat Chic YouTube channel. Would you like some help with your space? For FREE? Submit your spaces here:

Design Dilemma Questionnaire

This is for a limited time only. Depending on the demand, I might start charging for these sooner rather than later, so get your submissions in soon!

And in case you were wondering. This isn’t like you’re typical designer and client relationship. I’ll be reading over your submissions and selecting a few to feature on my youtube channel. I might contact you with questions or just to let you know that I’m featuring your space.

I’m also taking on a very select amount of local clients to feature as well. If I decide to work with you in person, a small design fee will apply, but you will get more of a flexible standard designer/client relationship. I’ll be in touch if your submission looks like a good candidate for this!

Client Room Designs Update

I’ve decided to make a huge transition over here folks. As some of you know I do a bit of client e-design every once and awhile. In the past I’ve offered to share those designs with others…for a small fee.

Well as of today. I’ve decided to offer those designs to my loyal readers and followers for FREE. Yes, that’s right. I’ll now be posting those designs on my room design pinterest board a few weeks after I’ve turned them over to my client. That way the client has enough time to buy what they need before the sources hit the papers 😉

So that being said, I spent some time recently converting the links over in my room design pinterest board so that they now all go directly to the source. Yay! So if you’ve pinned one of my designs in the (more recent) past it should hopefully go right to the design page where you can find the sources for everything.

I’m debating on whether or not to announce the designs on the blog or not. Would you guys like to see them or would you rather just subscribe to my pinterest board and see them that way? Thoughts?

Here are few faves from the board…

Sorry in advance if the links are old and no longer working! Also some of the older designs are no longer live on my server, so if you find a design that doesn’t link, that’s why!

An Elegant Bedroom Design with My Habit

I think you guys know that I’m a huge fan of flash sale sites 😉 Today I wanted to talk about one that I’ve been a frequent customer of for awhile now. And I was pretty excited when they reached out to become a blog sponsor. I love working with brands that I’ve been a long-time customer and fan of!

Their daily deal emails have quickly become one of my morning must-reads. They have some really fun and unique clothing and accessory sales. But did you guys know that they have great sales on home decor and furnishings as well? I’ve just recently started browsing their home-related sales and finding a lot of great products for an even better price.

To illustrate what I’m talking about, I put together this elegant bedroom design using products only from My Habit for around $1,700!
