Client Room Designs Update
Well as of today. I’ve decided to offer those designs to my loyal readers and followers for FREE. Yes, that’s right. I’ll now be posting those designs on my room design pinterest board a few weeks after I’ve turned them over to my client. That way the client has enough time to buy what they need before the sources hit the papers 😉
So that being said, I spent some time recently converting the links over in my room design pinterest board so that they now all go directly to the source. Yay! So if you’ve pinned one of my designs in the (more recent) past it should hopefully go right to the design page where you can find the sources for everything.
I’m debating on whether or not to announce the designs on the blog or not. Would you guys like to see them or would you rather just subscribe to my pinterest board and see them that way? Thoughts?
Here are few faves from the board…
Sorry in advance if the links are old and no longer working! Also some of the older designs are no longer live on my server, so if you find a design that doesn’t link, that’s why!
Survey Says
It looks like most of you come to the website as needed, check your RSS readers or sign up for the emails. As for social media I’ll start focusing more heavily on Instagram, Pinterest and to a lesser extent Pinterest. I’ve been thinking Twitter might be a good channel, but it looks like that’d definitely not the way to go since it falls in the “Other” slice 😉
Majority never use your phone to read my site, but it’s a very, very slight majority indeed 🙂
Most of you don’t follow me on Instagram! So here’s a link to my account, I’ll make it easy for you 😉 Many of you don’t have Instagram at all, that’s ok, to each their own! And for those of you who do follow me on Instagram, the majority of you would like to see more finds. I think I can manage that!
Okay more high vs lows by popular demand. I’ve recently cut back on doing them, so that I’m only doing around a post a day. But I can see here that you guys are missing them, so I’ll try to up those for you! A lot of you want to see more Room Redos, yay! Glad to know you’re liking them. DIY projects have been lacking lately, so I’ll try to up my game there as well as shopping and home tour pictures.
Looks like most of you are A-OK with the way things are. Yay! Awesome to hear. I’ll try to scale back on some of the rest 🙂
As for the format of Copy Cat Chic 90% of you want me to keep it like a blog. So that’s crystal-clear! Most of you said you like the up-close and personal feel of a blog as opposed to a retail website. I completely get that!
Doing a little housekeeping

I’ve been thinking about the future of this blog lately. As a full time blogger one of my requirements is to “always be growing” and the big question is, how? I’m sure you all have heard by now “blogging is dead“. More people are getting what they want from Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram etc – it’s faster and more direct. Will blogs really go by the wayside like everyone is predicting? I’m not so sure. While I know commenting is dead and subscriber lists are on the decline, I know that people still refer to blogs…when they need something.
So I want to make this blog useful for all of you when you do visit. I’ve debated on forgoing the blog layout all together and going for almost a retail-like website where my high/low finds are categorized just like you’d shop on Pottery Barn for example. Or I’ve thought about staying a blog but instead of doing daily high/low product finds doing more Room Redos. I’ve also thought about offering more how-to’s. I could do business related topics: how to start your own e-design business or how to run a blog that actually makes money or more design related topics (how to style an office or how to layout a living room etc).
I’ve also been thinking about all of the different social media outlets out there. In the past my biggest audience has always been on Pinterest and Facebook. But with Facebook algorithms always changing instead of reaching 20% of my followers on Facebook only 2% see my posts – which is ridiculous really. So I’ve started focusing on my audiences on Instagram and Twitter more.
Anyways, I’ve rambled enough for now 😉 Can you guys help me out a bit? What would you like to see more or less of? It’s survey time! It’s super quick and I appreciate each and everyone of you that takes the time to help me figure out the latest direction Copy Cat Chic will take!
And just so this post isn’t totally void of eye candy, I’ve interspersed a few latest pins I’m loving from my Pinterest account.

Adobe Creative Cloud and Room Design Update!
Or create collages like this one:
And with Illustrator I can make layouts a little more fun…
There’s a little bit of a learning curve when using Adobe programs, but once you take the time to learn it, you are golden. With Adobe apps you have so much more flexibility, control and capability than you’d have using other photo editing programs or websites.
Previously, buying Adobe software has come with a case of sticker shock, but now with Adobe Creative Cloud, there are a variety of different options and plans for pretty much any budget. There are bundles for students, photographers, and small and medium business. Plans start at $9.99/month. Here are the different plans you can choose as well as their costs.
And for a limited time only you can get Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom for $7.99/month! Click here to learn more.
Store Tours | Cost Plus World Market in February
Store Tours | West Elm in February
West Elm was jam packed full of goodies wouldn’t you agree? It was hard showing everything! My personal favorite were those kitchen canisters 🙂 Or maybe the Kate Spade sheets. So hard to decide…
