Navy is such a fun color for fall this year don’t you think? Sometimes a color really speaks to me for a season. A couple of years ago it was green or sometimes *ahem* most of the time I like neutrals. But this year it’s all about that navy blue. Can a blue tone be warm? Impossible right? But it really does feel warm, I guess, when you pair it with golden mustard and rustic metallic tones. Do you like to pick different color-schemes for each season or do you stick with more traditional colors year after year?

Color Trends | Forest Green
Anybody remember forest green being every house back in the 90s? Well, what comes around goes around, and forest green is definitively having a moment that we think will last. This color is especially trending in kitchens and makes a sophisticated statement on lower cabinets like in Studio McGee’s idyllic Denver Tudor. But forest green can shine in other rooms as well! I rounded up 12 modern ways to use forest green throughout your home. Are you ready to embrace the throwback shade again?

Color Trends | Ochre
Move over, millennial pink, we’re making room for the season’s trendiest happy-go-lucky color craze – ochre! This fun hue is a great way to transition your home from summer to fall. It’s warm without being too sunny and adds an earthy touch of spice to your space. I’m especially loving this color in texture-rich accents like the round velvet pillow (#3) or the yarn wall hanging (#10).

Pantone Color of the Year | Radiant Orchid
Now, as most of you know, I’m not the biggest user of color in my home. Not that I don’t like it, but I just love having a great neutral base to start with and then accenting with different colors that change with the season, my moods, whatever! I’ve found that, that’s the easiest to way to keep your decor fresh without breaking the bank.
It’s perfect for brunch Mimosas or even a having a few girlfriends over for cocktail hour. And it would make the perfect hostess gift or even for Mom for Mother’s day.
