Summer Beach Party

A Midsummer beach picnic hosted by Copy Cat Chic and HejDoll. Picnic ideas for a summer beach party. | The Blog Exchange Bay Area blogger network

You guys might remember the tea party I co-hosted a couple of months ago…well, we did it again! My friend Jessica and I, together with our squad, The Blog Exchange, had our quarterly party. We wanted to celebrate summer so we decided what better way to enjoy that sunshine than to have a picnic…on the beach. Am I right? Those of you who follow me on Snapchat (my username is copycatchic) and on Instagram (also copycatchic) you got to see a little sneak preview! We gathered up some local blogger friends and partnered with some fun sponsors to make it all happen. On to the pictures and pretty details!

DECOR
Minted
Did you know that Minted has home decor? Yep. They have an amazing selection of soft goods all custom printed and ready for you. It’s pretty fabulous. Their selection of patterns and colors is just as amazing as their print selections, which, as we all know is crazy good. We used their coordinating shibori prints in throw pillows and runners.
world market
Ah, World Market is one of my first stops for event decor. They just have so much to choose from. They didn’t disappoint! We found all sorts of goodies to use for our picnic.
food
We kept the food simple with handmade sandwiches, chips and a greek salad. We also had some delish homemade pickles and some olives to snack on.
sweets
MOONFLUF
Organic cotton candy anyone? It comes in tasty unique flavors too! I got watermelon and mango and even though I’m not the biggest fan of cotton candy…it tastes like pure sugar to me with no flavor. I actually really liked Moonfluf. It was so tasty!
SURF SWEETS
I first found Surf Sweets when trying to find a more natural alternative to typical Halloween candy. Surf Sweets are free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, and the major allergens. My favorite are the peach rings and sour gummi worms. I now buy them for Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Easter and whenever else I can get away with it 😉
drinks
SUJA JUICE
Suja kept us nice and refreshed in the hot sun with their Green Delight juice. Sweet, delicious and kind of addicting 😉
flowers
For the florals, I just ran to my local Trader Joe’s and picked up some white freesia. Simple yet elegant.
gift bags
A Midsummer beach picnic hosted by Copy Cat Chic and HejDoll. Picnic ideas for a summer beach party. | The Blog Exchange Bay Area blogger network
For the gift bags we bought these plain totes and Jessica’s husband 3D printed a custom The Blog Exchange stamp to customize them. They turned out so cute! You can also enter to win one of your very own! We’re giving away three! Check out the rafflecopter widget below!
FLEEPS
These are super cute rubber flip flop alternatives. They definitely take it up a notch. AND for every pair bought, one day of education is provide to a girl in need all over the globe. Pretty amazing idea right? My fleeps are super comfy too. Usually cheap rubber flip flops give me blisters. Fleeps hasn’t!
LUCKIES OF LONDON
Luckies of London has such fun products! They gave everyone a super cute pocket tin speaker and a scratch globe to keep track of your travels.
ARIEL GORDON JEWELRY
Ariel Gordon Jewelry gave each attendee a colorful friendship bracelet.
80 ACRES
80 Acres sent us some of their luxurious lotion and lip balm.
DRYBAR
Drybar provide us with some of their Sparkling Soda Shine Mist. Can’t wait to use it!
BOUDIN
Free bread and a Boudin mug 🙂
