Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | $500 Schlage Design Makeover

Excited to announce the latest giveaway today! I partnered with Schlage and I think you’ll be pretty excited about the prize they’re giving away. If you’re not familiar with Schlage, you probably haven’t had to replace your door hardware, like…ever 😉 Schlage offers a massive selection of door hardware in all the latest styles and finishes.

In fact today’s giveaway is helping to promote their two latest hardware finishes, Satin Brass and Polished Nickel. So. Hard. to. Choose! Brass is so hot, hot, hot right now with home decor, but it’s a hard finish to get right. There’s a fine line between 80’s brass and the more understated brass finish of today 😉 There’s some bathroom and kitchen hardware collections that are available, but not much door hardware in the right tone and sheen. In fact, Schlage’s matte brass gets it JUST right.

I’m also a huge fan of polished nickel, most of the time I tend to go that direction when choosing bathroom hardware. If you’re not aware of the difference between polished nickel and polished chrome, it’s subtle, but important. Chrome has cool undertones. Nickel on the other hand give us that sleek silver look with a slightly warmer tone. It’s like the difference between white and ivory. Perfect way to get the shine without getting too stark.

So when Schlage asked me which door hardware style and finish I’d like to install, I decided to go with polished nickel to match the nickel finish of our house numbers. I chose the to go with the Century Collection because of its matching modern lines. The hardware was super easy to install. In fact the Mr had all all of the interior door knobs up within an hour :X I was impressed.

Our house was built in 1963 and had a lot of original door hardware in a matte copper tone that was so popular back then. Most of them were not in great shape. BUT there was also a mish-mash of newer chrome and brass knobs. So it felt good to replace all of them with uniform hardware. Ah, satisfaction 😉 I love the contrast of the polished nickel with the retro wood tone of the doors. Can you believe at one point I wanted to stain them a different color? So glad I refrained.

Now for the giveaway! One lucky winner will get to outfit their home with $500 worth of door hardware in Schlage’s new finishes (Satin Brass or Polished Nickel) in the style of their choice.

Prize value worth up to a $500. U.S. readers only, please. By entering this giveaway, you agree to complete a written questionnaire with feedback surrounding Schlage products and installation. Once the prize has been shipped to the lucky winner and they’ve had time to install and use the hardware, a Schlage representative will get in touch for feedback. Opinions you provide will be used in future communications from Schlage. Enter using the rafflecopter widget below.

I really need a new front door handle and lock. My 80-plus-year-old interior knob keeps falling off and we have to turn the deadbolt and pull at the same time. This http://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/F60CAMFFFGEO.html?bck=@@sch-us:finishes/satinbrass# would be a fabulous help!

I seriously need the Camelot Style Keyed Plymouth knob in Aged Bronze ock for my back door. Right now I just have an old brass knob from 1990 and it is an eyesore. The back door can be seen from my kitchen which has aged bronze/oil rubbed bronze drawer pulls so the shiny brass knob draws your attention and looks very outdated. The Camelot set has a beautiful back plate that would add a decorative touch too. When people go to redo their rooms they often times overlook the door knobs but they are the final details that pull the room together. After seeing that brass knob every day it reminds me just how important they are too the overall look and feel of the room.

My husband and I have on our to-do this this winter to de-brass our interior doors so this is perfect! We have Schlage hardware on front and back doors and absolutely love them. Our interior doors and basement door is a totally different story and with door handles that are broken we need to get them fixed so we can properly baby proof our house. I love the Greyson style handles for the interior doors.

I totally dig the Greyson style Bowery knobs! I have never seen this style knob before and completely adore it. I have all hollow-core doors in my house and determined to save them from the landfill, am trying to add paneling and new knobs to make them more presentable. These would go a long way to make them look nicer no matter what I do to the door.

We actually JUST bought a few schlage locks for our exterior doors (in polished nickel, to boot!) and I'd love to keep it going and replace all the knobs on our interior doors! Like you, our house is older (built in the 70s) and almost all bedroom/bathroom doors have the old matte copper knobs. I'm digging these: http://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/F40LATFFF.html?bck=@@sch-us:brand/schlage@@sch-us:finishes/polishednickel in the polished nickel.

They'll help us modernize our home, and help keep-up with the other reno's we've done to update the home. We're firm believers that small updates go a long way in making our house a home!

I have most of my hardware from Schlage. They have held up well and I recommend them.
