Seattle Travel!
Here’s a quickie from my travel last week!
Seattle Westin – B+
Fabulous location, rooms only OK, beds very comfy! Walk to Pike’s or take the lightrail to the Space Needle, street car available as well.
Pike’s Market
The Market Grill – great for a fresh fish grilled sammie
The Pike’s Market Bakery – Discovered a cinnamon pretzel slathered in maple glaze – to die for!
Seattle Space Needle – C
This place is over-rated & it’s $17pp to go up the space needle. It’s not even the highest building in Seattle!
Spaahh @ Hotel 1000 – B
Great for a massage or facial, but not for a full “spa” day.
WINE SHOPS:
Pike & Western Wine Shop – A+
Right near Pike’s market, reasonable prices & great local selection
Sixth Ave Wine Seller – C
Overpriced, we ended up buying an awful bottle of wine for $35 that was only $10 at the Pike & Western Wine Shop.
Purple Wine Bar & Cafe |
RESTAURANTS:
Blue Acre Seafood – B+
GREAT food & drinks, atmosphere boring
Purple Cafe & Wine Bar – A+
Great food, fun atmosphere & amazing wine selection!
Boka Kitchen & Bar – B
Fun place, local food
The Brookyln – A+
Great happy hour, fabulous Oyster platter!

Second Year Anniversary!
I’m going to give one lucky reader a bag I’ve been lusting after for awhile now:
The FEED 1 Bag from FEED Projects
This bag is not only vintagey cool, but when you buy it, you feed one child enrolled in school for entire school year!!! And now with the emergency in Haiti all Feed 1 bags (as well as Feed 2 bags and monetary donations) are being given to the FEED Haiti campaign to help feed Haiti school children. How awesome is that? I couldn’t have picked a better giveway π
- PRIZE: One Feed 1 Bag

- CONTEST ENDS: Sunday, Jan. 31st at Midnight.
