It’s the last day of September, have you transitioned to Fall yet? We’re just starting to get cooler weather the last couple of days, so I’m starting to feel it! Fall is my favorite season ever and even though we’re in the midst of tearing up the kitchen and putting it back together (you can see more on my Instagram stories!), I still had to put some fall touches around the house!
Luckily, Walmart had everything I needed online, so with just a few clicks, my fall accessories were on my way to my house. Their fall-themed home decor and accessories are really on point this year. Love that they focused on neutral and natural textures with a modern farmhouse influence. Definitely right up my alley!
I was able to carve out one small area that isn’t affected by the work going on in the kitchen, so I decided to add some fall flavor. I like to subtly decorate for the seasons – I mostly use natural colors and textures, with not a lot of unnecessary accessories. I don’t like to have to store lots of seasonal decor, so I limit myself to things like plants, foliage and candles most of the time. Wreaths are my absolute favorite thing to decorate with, pretty much all year round. This fall wreath was the perfect addition to our statement windows in the front.
Now that the weather is cooling down outside, it’s nice to bring some warm inside. These warm, copper, velvet throw pillows from Walmart were the perfect accent. They tie in with the warm tones on the wood trim. I’m really loving this golden, warm color this year as an accent. It’s the perfect transitional color. AND it matches the pumpkins that will be coming for a visit soon! Bring on the jack-o-lanterns!
