In my downtime I’ve been slowly trying to go through and organize our “hidden” storage areas: closets, basement, cabinets, etc. Everything is pretty much unpacked since our move, but lots of things were unpacked and just thrown in closets or shelves. And there they’ve sat…for me to agonize over late at night when I’m trying to go to sleep 😉 SO I’m trying to be proactive about it and to take it one step at a time. Organize, purge and rearrange until I’m happy that we only have what we need and the chaos has been tamed. Then I move on to the next one…it’s a dirty cycle. Literally.
So for today’s post I thought I show you the bathroom linen closet. This is like the bottomless pit of products. It’s a decent size and pretty much our only bathroom storage since we have a pedestal sink. So it’s definitely a catchall…kind of like the kitchen junk drawer (next project maybe???). I thought it would be fun to make a video of the whole process showing you the before and after…and everything in-between. This turned out to be a long post, but as the list of products in the bathroom got smaller, the length of this post got longer 😉 Bear with me!
When I discovered these black, glass jars I pretty much had to stock up. They’re perfect for storing oils because they keep them fresh way longer than other transparent or semi-transparent bottles. The black glass was the perfect accent to go with the rest of my toiletries.
Loving my new T3 hair iron. If I style my hair, it’s pretty much a go to that I’m going to straighten it. This thing of beauty works just as good as it looks too. It’s called the SinglePass for a reason. It really gets the job done…faster. I like to use the Living Proof Prime Style Extender before styling too because it helps prolong the style. Great combo. Those spiral hair bands are great to use on your hair too because they won’t kink or indent your hair if you need to put it for a stint. The bamboo comb is great for after-shower detangling because of it’s wide teeth.
Can I tell just how much I love my new Quip toothbrush? It’s so freaking fabulous you guys. It’s sleek, modern and just so sexy. Yesss, that’s right I called a toothbrush sexy, but it’s #truth. I like the look of the box of tampons. They look very stylish.
I’m crushing on the hair bands. I love how they don’t crimp your hair. I had a T3 Hairdryer once and that thing lasted a long time. I need a new one and I like that the one you mentioned is featherweight, but works like a beast.
I absolutely LOVE your counters!!!! I like to keep my counters cleaned off- always putting up toothbrushes and toothpaste and the likes. I keep it all in drawers or the cabinet, although those aren’t too organized. At least the countertop doesn’t have a bunch of stuff on it!
I have been seeing those tooth brushes advertised on facebook and have been curious! I can’t wait til my sonacare wears out!
I really do love mine. I’m going to be getting two more for my kids 😉 lol
Everything looks neat and beautiful. That is the bathroom that I want.
