Yowza this was a hard one! I didn’t realize how hard it is to find decent looking yet also affordable stair runners out there! I think they are mostly available at trade stores and such…at least the cute ones are. lol. So I found a few options, but not really as many as I’d like…sigh. If any of you out there know of any more resources feel free to help a sister out 😉
I figured I’d start with a few of my favorite stair pictures for inspiration:

So let’s start off with our first and cheapest option shall we? This one I found on eBay and let me tell you, it’s my absolute fab. I would so throw this on my stairs…well if my house had more than 3 stairs total. The eBay Store: Antique Vintage European Textiles has maaaany goodies to choose from. I’ve been dying for a fabulous European grain sack pillow, but how lovely would it be to have stairs that matched? And at $19/yard the price isn’t too bad either!
One of my favorite rug companies overall is Dash and Albert. The have a huge selection and they are so reasonably priced! I love this Chocolate Ticking Striped Runner.
Next we have some nice natural options from NaturalRugs.org. They have Coir, Jute, Sisal and Seagrass runners to name a few! They run a little more…starting at $43/yard. I love this cute jute & ivory striped runner – it’s just adorable.

RugsExpress.com has a very classy neutral runner available for $32.24/ft. The priciest option so far…
Moving on: WholesaleRug.com has a decently priced woven mat runner that looks like it will last a long time and not be to hard on the eyes…or the checkbook. It’s $11.99/ft.
And of course there are the greats…like Roger Oates. These runners will set you back a pretty dime that’s for sure. BUT the options make your mouth water..mmmm!
Or there’s Kersaint Cobb & Co. with some absolutely fabulous options…Why are all the great ones in the UK???
No! Wait I take that back! Woodward & Greenstein is a great place to look in the States. Unfort…no prices listed. Of course…lol. But still noteworthy!
