My Home | Master Bedroom Update
The master bedroom in this house has just stumped me. It’s not a difficult room to decorate…so it’s not the room’s fault 😉 But when we moved in a year ago, it became the dumping ground for random furniture and art that we didn’t have a good place for. We don’t spend any time in here, only when we’re sleeping or dressing, so it just hasn’t been on my mind as much. Although it wasn’t fun to cringe every time I walked into the room that’s for sure.
Usually when I think about a space, I get an “Aha!” moment, but I kept waiting…and waiting…and waiting. Nothing ever came to me. Until a whole year had passed. Talk about frustrating. I slowly added necessities to the room, like window shades, new pillows, etc. But nothing was helping me tie it together. Finally I decided to focus on the bedding and take it from there. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like too much matchy-matchy when it comes to furniture and I carry that over to bedding too. I love adding layers and texture to a bed because it’s usually the main focal point in a bedroom (obviously), so why not make it interesting? Right?

Five for Fifty | Blush Decor from World Market
Today’s #FiveforFity is about another fun accent color I like to use: Blush. So delicate, so pretty and so in right now. I love accessorizing with blush, especially when I’m entertaining or when updating my home for the season. Blush is so perfect for the end of summer right now. And as you’ve seen, I used blush to accessorize with in my living room not too long ago. It’s such an warm and inviting color, don’t you think? Perfect for a slow transition into fall. I partnered with World Market today, because they have a GREAT selection of blush right now. So on-trend World Market, bravo!
Five for Fifty | Blue and Moody with Designer Living
You know how much I love my neutrals 😉 BUT if I’m going to accent with a color? My go it is pretty much always and forever…blue. Yep, I love blue…and pretty much all shades of it too. That’s why I had a hard time deciding which color to accessorize with in the living room. Either way it’s a super easy way to update your space with a quick color change. Just swap out with a few new accessories in the color your transitioning too. I decided to partner with Designer Living for today’s #FiveforFifty post because they have a great selection of affordable home decor items.
Here’s my living room as I had it a few weeks ago with accents of indigo. So pretty, right?

My Home | The Living Room
I always love a good after post! I know I teased you all with my Kirkland’s post the other day. Well, let’s get on with the show shall we? Here’s my living room as it looks today. It makes me super happy, which is very important because I use it as my office. And every blogger deserves a good working space, right? 😉
Living Room Ideas
After getting the kid’s room set for awhile, the living room started calling my name. It’s the first big room you see when entering our home so it definitely needs to make an impact. Also with the great character of the room, it really called for something just as dramatic.
Historically I’ve always used the living room as an office, preferring to use a laptop rather than a desktop. So I’d say this room represents me the most of any in the house. I wanted to fill only with things I love and that give me pleasure since I spend most of my time in this space.
