Welcome all of you visiting from Rue Magazine and Hayneedle!
It’s been a couple of months now and I’m still using it every day. For those of you visiting to learn more, the desk is from Hayneedle and I use it with this stool. Or if I’m standing I use this cushioned mat to make my feet happy. I’ve covered the mat with a vintage rug to make it a lil easier on the eyes. I also use my favorite footstool to rest my feet on while sitting.
I have a couple of planters nearby, because I just have to have greenery around me! It’s gotten a little out of hand lately 😉 The bigger planter houses a split leaf philodendron and the smaller planter has a dragon tree. I also love having this home sweet home banner hanging on the wall by my side. It adds interest to the corner without being too busy. This small marble and wood box houses extra cords and hard drives. And let’s not forget my favorite candles, baies and feu du bois! The notebook is from the dollar spot at Target and the white lamp I’ve had for awhile now.

I loosely got my inspiration from Nate Berkus’ amazing living room featured in the February issue of Matchbook Magazine. I love the gray masculine feel of the space, but with the unexpected pop of metallics. The wood tones really warm the space up!
I took my inspiration from this gorgeous girl’s room featured on Apartment Therapy. I love how the white in the room really serves as the perfect backdrop to the vibrant pops of pink and fuchsia. I decided to create a nursery that echoed the look and feel of this unique space.
