As you might have seen on my Instagram account. We’ve recently moved! We sold our home in Northern California and decided to relocate down to California’s Central Coast area. We spent the past summer at the beach in Morro Bay, Cayucos, Los Osos, and Avila Beach and realized that the slower, less crowded lifestyle was for us. We took the summer to get to know the area and found our new home in San Luis Obispo!

My Home | The Breakfast Nook
You guys are pretty familiar with the breakfast nook by now…I featured it first a little less than a year ago for Friendsgiving with the original paint and wall shelves. And then it got a little spruce up for this end-of-the-school-year party. I lot of you followed the progress on Instagram 🙂 We’re still making changes in here but we’re soooo close to being finished!

A Mix and Match Table
Things are slowly transitioning to fall over here, but the weather has been so sunny, it’s kind of hard to believe it. Before we completely move over to fall pumpkins and fall foliage, I thought it would be fun to do a late summer/early fall table set up. I partnered with World Market to share my five tips to created a mix+match tablescape. Mixing up your table decor is the perfect way to bring your entertaining game up to the next level.
You can find everything I’ve used today, at World Market. And they have some amazing sales going on for their Gathering Event, which is 50% off all dining furniture, 30% off dinnerware and table linens, 30% off clothing, jewelry and accessories and they’re running their fall wine sale as well! The event runs until Sept 28th, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on fall entertaining necessities! Read on for my five tips for mixing and matching your table decor!
Design Dilemma | Sarah Eisler Great Room
Last month I started this new blog/YouTube series with Coby O’Sullivan’s sitting room, and this month I took on Sarah Eisler‘s great room! I’ve followed Sarah on Instagram for awhile now, being a equestrian lover and her being in the horse world. So when I saw her design dilemma submission come through, I knew I wanted to help a fellow horse-lover out 🙂 Sarah moved into her new home not too long ago and needed some help with her combined living and dining room. AND she needed it all on a pretty tight budget…for around $3,000. So I put together a design for her that covers the main pieces that she’ll need to outfit the space and she can fill it all in with accessories as needed. Take a look and let me know what you think!

I have to admit it was hard furnishing what was basically a dining room AND a living room for $3,000. So I decided to show you what $5,300 will get you 😉 Links to the products are above!
Here is Sarah’s before picture of the room. This is the sale listing photo, so not her furniture. She’s also painted it Sherwin Williams Tree Swallow and Requisite Grey.
And the inspiration images that Sarah gave me were all client work that I did in the past! You can check them out here: Naomi’s living room, Julie’s dining room, Dani’s living/dining room and Anne’s dining room.

My Home | My Dining Room
It’s been awhile since I’ve shown you a glimpse of the dining room. You saw a good glimpse of it in my We Heart It for Heart Day party, but I wanted to create a post with all of the sources for you. It’s definitely a work in progress still, but it’s fun to watch it progress.
Mid Century Dining Chair Round Up
via Becca Stephens
These aren’t your grandma’s dining room chairs. Actually, come to think of it, they could be! Adding mid century chairs to your dining room table is an easy way to bring the dining room up to modern speed while also giving a nod toward the retro era we love. Choose one, like in Becca Stephen’s beautiful room above, or mix and match for a casual look.
