Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | A White Christmas with Treetopia
You all might remember my black Christmas tree from last year. Well, this year I teamed up with Treetopia again and decided to go the opposite route. A white tree! I chose this beautiful Whisper White Cashmere Tree.
Isn’t it fun? I just love how the ornaments pop off of that snow, white backdrop. You know how much I love contrast 😉 Like last year, I went with a mix of metallics and used most of the same ornaments. It’s a little more minimalist than last year, but I think, just as elegant.
Now I just need to wrap those gifts! It’s looking a little naked under there 🙂
Now for the giveaway! You can enter to win your very own Treetopia Christmas tree by using the rafflecopter widget below:
Festive Finds with Nespresso and Sur La Table
In the meantime I figured I’d resurrect some old favorites. The Saturday Shopping post is one! #FiveforFifty will be back and better than ever too, with a slight twist. I’ll talk more about that one later though…
So back to the Saturday Shopping feature! Today’s post is a combination of Saturday Shopping and an awesome giveaway and the theme? Festive Finds! We’ve been prepping the house for a bunch of upcoming events, the first up is Friendsgiving. We love having friends over for some turkey and all of the fixings. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone before the crazy part of the holidays begin 😉
When I was setting up my fall table-scape, I realized we were missing some holiday hosting essentials. So last week the Mr and I stocked up on bunch of entertaining goodies at Sur La Table. Oh and did I mention? We hit up the Nespresso boutique first. Our Nespresso supply was pretty much non-existent, with only a couple of Decaffeinato capsules left. Therefore we were nice and energized when we finally arrived at Sur La Table 😉
I had the monthly special: A honey latte with almond milk and a dash of cinnamon on top! |
Nespresso really has me addicted. I adore a good frothy latte in the morning. And I’m pretty picky when it comes to my coffee beverage. Nespresso has done me good on that front. I reached out to them a year or so ago and was able to check out their UMilk which I love and then again when they first released their VertuoLine. The VertuoLine does both coffee and espresso – something for everyone right? Now I’m back with Nespresso once again to offer you lucky readers a chance to win a Nespresso VertuoLine (value of $299) of your very own! I’m so excited that I get to do a giveaway this time around! I know you guys have been asking for one. Details on how to enter below.
Now back to my Sur La Table trip – I just might have gone a little overboard. Can I blame it on too much caffeine? Probably not 😉 Sur La Table has some amazing prices, like the set of eight herringbone napkins or the marble and wood cheese platter both only $24. I could spend hours there, and we sort of did! Here are a bunch of items I either brought home, almost brought home, and really, really wanted to bring home!

I was compensated for this post by receiving a trip to the Nespresso Boutique and Sur La Table, as well as gift cards to use while there. Thank you for supporting Copy Cat Chic, Nespresso and Sur La Table!

Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | The Company Store
And as you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aka a plethora of pink for a good cause 😉 The Company Store is partnering up with the Avon Foundation and Avon walk! All this month they’ll be donating $5 of every LaCrosse comforter purchase to the Avon Foundation. Pretty awesome, right?
I love supporting companies that support a cause – it’s a great way to give meaning to that retail therapy 😉 And in situations like this: you buy bedding you need and also directly affect the amount donated!
And in case you didn’t know, The Company Store has more than just bedding. Here are some of my current decor and accessories (as well as bed linens) faves on their site right now. In fact, I’m a proud new owner of number seven!

Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | Garden of Life
I learned of them from BlogHer ’14 where I received a free bottle of their Kind Organics Women’s Multivitamin. It’s funny because I’m pretty happy with my current organic daily vitamin, but when I heard all of the great things about this one, I had to give it a try.

Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | Zabada Clean
I use the kitchen glove and marvel daily to clean Conrad’s high chair as well as the dining table. That thing can get grimy in no time. I’ve always hated using standard cleaners on it because of the chance of any residue getting into his food. Now? No worries whatsoever. The glove comes with two sides, one is good for getting caked-on grime and the other is softer and cuts through grease.
Here’s the fun part! The giveaway. One lucky winner will win the same package I have:
Kitchen Glove
Kitchen Marvel
Floor Cleaner
Floor Fiber
Floor Duster
Laundry Bag

A Summer Picnic and Copy Cat Chic $100 Giveaway to Wayfair.com
I used to throw backyard tea party/picnics with my friends when I was younger. I’d invite all of the kids from around the neighborhood and we’d lay a blanket down and bust out our fancy teapots and china. And let’s not forget our dolls 😉
Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | Delta Faucet Temp2Oâ„¢ Shower
The first thing I learned was that the people of Delta truly care about their company, their customers their products and their employees. Everyone I met was passionate and so knowledgeable about their brand and products. It was inspiring to be in such a environment.
As a company Delta is always thinking about their customer. The take the design of their products very seriously. And what I didn’t know? Not only are Delta’s products beautiful, but there is SO much thought about how the products work and perform that they really are functionally beautiful as well. I was pretty impressed with that factor, because before? Before, in my mind, a faucet was a faucet and all one-touch and touchless faucets performed pretty much the same. Not so, my friend, not so.
While at Delta headquarters we got to explore and compare several other comparable featured faucets: the Kohler Sensate™ Touchless Kitchen Faucet, Grohe Minta Touch Kitchen Faucet, Moen Arbor MotionSense Kitchen Faucet and a Delta Trinsic Faucet with Touch2O®. In my humble opinion, the Delta faucet performed the best.
– DELTA’S TRINSIC FAUCET WITH TOUCH2O® TECHNOLOGY –
Makes it possible for anyone to turn on or off the faucet by touching anywhere on the spout or handle of the faucet. Delta was the first company to create a touch faucet and they have a patent on their touch technology. That means that no other faucet company can use the same technology, therefore they have to create work around. Bottom line? They just don’t work as well, even the touchless ones. The Delta faucet knows to turn on/off depending on the length of your touch. Therefore if you’re moving the faucet around it won’t turn on or off unless you want it to. The touch sensor is very responsive and I found I only had to touch it once to respond. The Grohe wasn’t as reliable. Delta’s faucet is powered by batteries and they’ll soon be releasing an electric option as well. Delta made sure that their faucets function like a normal faucet first, so there won’t be any confusion on how to turn the faucet on and off when guests use it. Another fun fact? Delta’s faucets turn off after a certain period of unuse, so if your toddler or pet turns it on, it won’t stay on for long.
$433
– GROHE minta TOUCH –
Was the closest comparison with Delta’s Touch2O® Technology. They’ve developed a touch faucet as well, but the response time after touching was super slow and kind of clumsy. Also you can only use the cold water when using the touch on/off feature. The Grohe touch can also be confusing to people who aren’t familiar with the touch on/off. For example if you turn the faucet on using touch it disables the handle, so you won’t be able to use the handle to turn it off (!!). Which would be super confusing to most anyone, right?
$358
– MOEN ARBOR WITH MOTIONSENSE –
The Moen has two touchless sensors on the top of the faucet, so you can wave your hand over the top and on the inside of the faucet near the handle. Drawbacks? The faucet can turn on accidentally when you’re working near the sink, just by moving your arms near it. I also noticed that the sensor on the top of the faucet was not very responsive, sometimes you’d have to wave your hand over the faucet several times for it to turn on or off. The sensor on top also got confused when you went to move the handle of the sink by sometimes turning on or off when you didn’t need it to. Also if you’re using the handsfree mode, you can’t adjust the temperature of the water using the handle(s), you have change the temperature using a preset gauge on the control box under the sink. Not too convenient.
$495
– KOHLER SENSATEâ„¢ TOUCHLESS –
The Kohler faucet has a touchless sensor on the inside neck at the top of the faucet. Therefore you have to wave your hand up to the inside of the faucet. Kind of awkward and at one point I accidentally got my sleeve wet trying to wave my hand in the right position under the spout to turn it off. Not fun. Also the placement of the sensor affects the design of the faucet. AKA since the sensor is pretty thick, you won’t ever be able to get a thinner and more streamlined looking spout. The Kohler faucet has to be hardwired, which is pretty inconvenient for those with no access to electrical under the sink.
$600
Okay, whew, that was a lot of text. Hopefully you found it as interesting as I did when learning about these faucets 🙂 Now onto the giveaway! As you know, Delta is always exploring new product ideas to make our lives easier when using them. One of Delta’s latest award-winning innovations is their Temp2Oâ„¢ Technology. It hasn’t even been released to the public yet! Coming soon, Delta’s showerheads and hand-held showers will feature Temp2Oâ„¢, which shows you the exact temperature of your water. The LED-lighted screen will either light up blue (<80), magenta (80-110) or red (110+) and will display the actual temperature reading as well. So cool right? I know this will come in handy with a baby in the house!
Delta has generously offered to give one lucky winner either a Temp2Oâ„¢ shower head or a Temp2Oâ„¢ handheld shower (your choice). You can enter to win using the rafflecopter widget below! Good luck!

Outdoor Party with Pier 1 Imports and a Giveaway
We cleaned up the backyard and patio from the last remnants of winter and planned for everyone to hang out outdoors and enjoy the sunshine. The backyard needed some new accessories to brighten it up a bit for the Summer. I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Pier 1 Imports. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating. Partnering with Pier 1 Imports was fun because of their huge selection of outdoor products. I picked out some nice, neutral yet elegant products to compliment the relaxed vibe I’m going for in the backyard.
I didn’t want to go all out with the party decor because we want to keep with the casual, outdoor vibe. So I used my natural linen tablecloths and paired them with some recycled plates and napkins. Even the cups we used were made of corn plastic.
We kept the menu pretty simple with all finger foods: homemade sandwiches, an organic veggie platter with vegan sanctuary dip paired with rustic veggie chips, a fruit platter, some olive, nuts and a great cheese plate. We wrapped the sandwiches in butcher paper tied with twine and served them in this great metal tub. The sandwiches were turkey and monterey jack cheese, salami and cheddar and a veggie option with tomatoes, avocado and cucumber.
The flowers in vases are all from the backyard and are mostly nasturtiums. I even threw a couple of nasturtiums on the veggie platter since they’re edible and very tasty!
I made some cucumber, rosemary lemonade to drink. The weather was hot, hot, hot so this went fast. This beverage dispenser was also big a hit.
We set up a temporary bar on the Mr’s potting bench, which worked out perfectly 😉
For dessert Arden and I made some chocolate rosemary mini-cupcakes, decorated with tiny sprigs of rosemary.
We outfitted the patio with these new outdoor drapes and these great modern lanterns to dress it up a little bit. Almost reminds me of my favorite resort…almost 😉
This ceramic stool was a great addition to the lounging area. The perfect place to rest some nice cold lemonade.
And to top it all off we added this new pagoda-style umbrella in natural. It’s really quite a statement piece.
Oh and a couple of items for nighttime patio enjoyment: an umbrella light and remote and some flameless candles also controlled via remote, very cool, right? Can’t wait to test ’em out!
Now for a little giveaway, hosted by Pier 1. They’re giving one reader a $25 gift card to Pier 1. You can enter below using the Rafflecopter widget.
