A few weeks ago during spring break, we decided to do a very stereotypical thing for spring break…We went to Florida! Where did we go in Florida? No, not Disney World, no, not Miami, no, not Ft. Lauderdale. We went to Rosemary Beach. Now you may have that blank look that most of our friends gave us when announcing our destination. Or if you’re from the Mid-West or the South you’ll know EXACTLY where. Rosemary Beach is a lesser known beach destination on the gulf coast (commonly referred to as the Emerald Coast) or inner coast of Florida. There’s a tiny little strip of a highway called 30A rolling through a bunch of gorgeous little beach towns each with their own distinct personality. We mostly spent our time in Rosemary beach and it’s gorgeous cousin, Alys Beach, just a hop, skip and a bike ride down 30A.

Fall Season Bucket List
Fall is my favorite season and it enjoy it to the fullest, I like to create a bucket list of things to do. Most of the items can be done for little to no dolla-dolla bills and you will be spending lots of time with your friends and family. Just how I like it! I started compiling a list of my favorite fall activities after realizing how successful our holiday advent calendar was during December. I figured why not priorities some fun fall activities as well?!
No Makeup Home Tour
I can’t believe that I’m doing this you guys…but yes, the first home tour of our new house that I’m posting is a No Makeup Home Tour. No staged, professionally photographed glamour shots in this post. But I guess it makes for good “before” pictures, right? When Kyla first invited me to take part, I had no idea we’d be moving a few weeks later!
Gift Guide | Mother’s Day Wish List
A few of my favorites and a few things on my wishlist for mother’s day! Just in case you need a little help figuring out what to get those mamas in your life!
36 Hours | Disneyland with Alaska Airlines
A couple of weeks ago we took a quick trip for Arden’s 7th birthday. The destination? Well, where would almost any 7 year old tell you they’d like to go for their birthday? Yep, DISNEYLAND.
We decided to surprise her, which was the most fun ever. I packed a bag with a bunch of new Disney-themed goodies (see the packing list below) and had her open it to guess our destination. As you can imagine she was pretty ecstatic! I think I love Disneyland just as much as she does so…we were all pretty happy 😉
We’ve been to Disneyland quite a few times and I thought it would be fun to share with you my favorite tips and tricks to help save you time and money (and your sanity) when planning a trip there. Because believe me, it makes a huge difference on whether your trip is one to remember or if it will make you never want to visit the “happiest place on earth” ever again.

Simple Modern Easter Basket Ideas
After planning my little brunch the other day, I couldn’t help thinking more about my kid’s Easter baskets. Of course they’re all about the candy, but I try to strike a good balance with other fun items (not filled with sugar!). Here are some adorable Easter items that I have my eye on this year. I already have a few of them, as you might have noticed from this post, and there’s a few I’ll will be ordering very soon! What do you put in your kid’s Easter baskets? Any fun items I should check out?

Simple Easter Brunch with World Market
My kids and I saw the new Peter Rabbit last Sunday. It was cute, feel good kid’s movie with shenanigans that reminded me of old-school cartoons. The kids loved it, so when World Market asked if I’d be interested in showcasing their new Peter Rabbit collection, I thought it would be fun to set up an easy, simple Easter-style brunch. I like to keep presentation and entertaining relatively simple. It’ a lot of work cooking, cleaning, decorating, etc! Why not keep things clean, appealing and functional? That’s my motto.
So I came up with this cute, minimalist table setup for the kid’s and a couple of their neighbor-friends.
Complete List of Advent Calendar Activities and Goodies
*Holiday Movies Updated 12/18!*
I can’t believe I actually have the advent calendar up and ready to go this year. It’s a Christmas miracle! No more drugstore chocolate advent calendars for us 😉 Not knocking those too hard, because…yum. So I’ve actually had this advent calendar for years now and this is the first time I’ve used it. Whoops. By the way if you like it, here’s a similar looking one for cheaper (hurry before it sells out!).
I did a ton of research on the different advent calendar ideas…there are SO many. Should I do one with all toys? All candy? (nope) All movies? Activities? Community service? I couldn’t make up my mind. So I compiled a list of all of the ideas and decided to do a mix of all. I threw in a couple of candies and toys in there for good measure. Let me know if I’ve missed your holiday favorites! I’ll be sure to add them to the list (and maybe my advent calendar as well!).
If you’re having trouble getting your advent calendar butt in gear, hopefully this post helps! Also, don’t forget to check out my kids, womens, mens, techie themed gift guides if you need guidance in that neck of the woods as well! Oh and check out my fall season bucket list too, for more seasonal fun!

Along the lines of #4, this is also such a great choice for a gift. This one is a 3-D map of San Francisco, but there are a ton of other cities available. Makes a great statement piece and it’s quality, so you know you’ll have it around for a long time.
