Last year we bought a washable rug for our family room and it was a total gamechanger. Since then, we’ve been replacing all of the rugs in our house with washable ones. The selection between now and then has multiplied! Before it was hard to find a washable rug that wasn’t just a cotton mat. The selection of washable rugs now is pretty amazing, they come in every style, size, and color.
I’ve been on the hunt for a washable runner for our hallway. It’s been slow going, but I was able to find a 16ft long runner at Walmart. It’s perfect for this hallway because it is a high traffic area with a door coming in from the back as well the garage, so lots of dirt coming in. I love that I can easily pull it up and throw it in the washer for a refresh when needed.
Our kitchen is another high-traffic area that was begging for a washable rug to soften up the space. I love using a good vintage rug in the kitchen, but lately, I’ve found I’d prefer to have a vintage-looking rug that’s washable instead. It just makes clean-up so much easier, wouldn’t you agree?
Walmart home has a huge selection of washable rugs, and at such great prices. There are a ton of different patterns and colors! It was hard to narrow it down to just two designs, but I’m loving the two rugs I picked. They look like antique, imported rugs, but instead of scratchy wool, they feel like soft chenille. They’re a perfect fit for a household with two kids and a dog in the mix.
