This school year really passed by fast this year. I’m still reeling, but really looking forward to lazy days and sunshine! For Arden and Conrad, the countdown is on. We only have one more week left!
I always like to celebrate with the kids by taking them to ice cream on the last day of school. I thought it would be fun to host an ice cream (and other sweets) social with school friends at our house this year.
We just did some work in our dining nook and I needed some artwork and accessories to liven it up in there. I was at Walmart shopping for the treats and realized that Drew Barrymore’s newly launched Flower line was the perfect inspiration for what I was going for. All those bright colors, different shapes and patterns, and all-around fun-loving vibe equaled the best starting point.
I bought the big, pink print first as I knew that would be a great focal point and then added multi-colored accessories. The geo trays were definitely a favorite! So perfect to display all of the treats these kids got spoiled with.
And speaking of treats, I bought everything I needed in store, from candy, to ice cream to donuts. I always love a good one-stop-shop!
