Designer Destination | The Farmhouse Inn

Remember when I said I’d be posting more on my travels? Well, I’ve decided to start a new series called Designer Destinations. As you all know in my 36 hour posts, I like to feature places that are aesthetically pleasing. I make it a priority to visit places that are appealing to the senses, whether it’s a restaurant, boutique or hotel. I’d love to be able to share these fun spots with you guys!

The first place I wanted to share with you is the Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma County. I stayed there a few weeks ago with the whole family and it was just gorgeous. I know you guys would love it. They did a major renovation not too long ago resulting in some majorly gorgeous digs. I had serious house envy going on. It’s one of the very few hotels I’ve stayed where I felt like moving in. I really could have stayed forever 😉 Pretty idyllic right?

There’s an amazing spa onsite as well as a Michelin-stared restaurant. Oh and you get a complimentary 3 course breakfast at said restaurant when you’re a guest at the hotel. It was mighty tasty, let me tell you.

We arrived after dark, but were welcomed by house-made marshmallows, rustic graham crackers and gourmet dark chocolate for s’mores in the fire pits by the pool. Talk about a warm welcome! Also in the lobby, they have a “spa bar” where you can help yourself to handmade soaps and scrubs galore.

It’s located in Sonoma County and a hop, skip and a jump away from Healdsburg, Guerneville and Sonoma. So many fun things to do and see and drink 😉 Don’t you just love wine country?

I felt pampered all around by the service, the amenities, the grounds and the overall vibe. It was an amazing place and I can’t wait to go back.

That is so pretty! No wonder you don’t want to leave!! Is it open year ’round? And was it full? Did you run into a lot of other people or did you have the place to yourself? How far in advance did you make your reservations? Gee, I have lots of questions, don’t I?
