I’d like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at scouring the internet for amazing decorating deals, but this week’s room redo was a tough one to keep under budget – just look how perfect this splurge of a chandelier is! Every rug seemed to be sold out or unavailable in the right size, and good luck searching for a pair of white-on-white abstract paintings (much less an affordable pair). But of course, in every trial there’s a lesson or two. If there’s something you absolutely love, like that gorgeous chrome light fixture, then save for it. If there’s something you can make yourself, like those soft, washed canvases, then go for it. Honestly I could go for everything in this space, especially since it’s in the same home as my previous living space room redo. What a house!
