Today’s calm & cozy bedroom is courtesy of a particularly delightful home tour in Washington Heights. This entire apartment is full of charm, character and light streams in through apparently every single wall of the building. The owner clearly has put so much thought and love into their home, and it’s a beautiful reminder that our homes are basically live-in story books. Everything we choose to surround ourselves with comes with its own story, and we become part of that as it helps us build our own. That story can come the objects themselves, like thrifted art or the former owner of your funky ottoman, or it can be that time you had your dream sofa cut in half just to fit it through a doorway (it’s true, I read it on Apartment Therapy once).
