Saturday Shopping | Subscription Addiction

I recently did some consulting work for a subscription box company, I subscribed to their box and since then I’ve been addicted to subscription boxes. It’s not about the value, although you usually get things that are worth more than you paid for. To me it’s the surprise factor. It’s like getting a gift in the mail every month. Something fun, unexpected and exciting.

I wanted to share with you my current subscription box favorites and a few on my radar!

I know you guys don’t like breaks, but this post is a monster. Keep reading…

ONE | citrus lane
$29/month with free shipping for infants and kids up to 5 years old. I have a subscription for Conrad. I’ve gotten one and a half (free trial) boxes so far with a couple of useful things. Not sure I’ll continue after my 3 mth subscription ends because even though the items we’ve received are fun, I’m pretty picky about what things Conrad comes into contact with. I think I’m going to try Little Pnut next! Click here if you’d like to try Citrus Lane and get 50% off your first box.
two | kiwi crate
$20/month with free shipping for kids 4-8 years old. Arden loves her Kiwi Crate. She asks me everyday if I have another craft box for her 🙂 She goes through all of the crafts in one big sitting. Wish there was an option for getting them more often! We signed her up for a years subscription. Get 25% off your first crate with promo code CCC5OFF .
three | Love with food
$29/month with free shipping. 8-10 gluten-free snacks delivered monthly. And 2 meals delivered to fight childhood hunger in America. I’ve gotten one box so far. So far it’s okay. I’m sure it’s amazing if you’re gluten-free (which I’m not). I bought a 3 month gluten-free subscription off of Zulily for $17 each box (includes shipping). After one box, I’m not sure it’s worth the $17 let alone the full price of $24.50. Maybe I’ll try the Deluxe box and see if it’s more bang for your buck. If you’d like to try a free box, click here.
four | popsugar must have
$40/month with free shipping. A monthly lifestyle subscription box curated by the editors at POPSUGAR. Each box features their “must have” products for beauty, fashion, home, food, fitness and more. Every box has a value of $100+. I don’t actually subscribe to this one, I’ve just received a promotional crate. But it’s not bad for the value. Pretty fun if you’re into that sort of thing. I think I’d prefer more into eco-friendly products though.
five | the bouqs
$40 for a bouquet with free shipping. This is a fun one! I order from the Bouqs all the time. They have a concierge program where you can have flowers delivered as frequently as twice a week or you can schedule regular delivery for special occasions each year (birthdays, Mother’s day, Valentines day, etc). And you get 10%-25% off. Double your flowers by using this promo code doublebouq

six | vegan cuts
$20/month with free shipping. 7-10 vegan snacks in each box. I don’t actually subscribe to this one, but I’ve been wanting to try it out. Do any of you subscribe? What do you think?
seven | koala crate
$20/month with free shipping for kids 3-4 years old. My solution to getting craft boxes more frequently. Arden now looks forward to her yellow box each month too. The first box “Colors” was a little elementary for her, but the 2nd crate “Transportation” was a huge hit. The magazine that comes with it has a bunch of fun stuff for her to do as well. Love that this one is targeted a little younger so she feels like she can do more independently. We signed up for only a 3 month subscription. Debating on extending it for a year. I think the last box in our 3 month sub will make or break it. Get 25% off your first crate with promo code ccc5off

other boxes on my wish list
eight | kloverbox
$25/month with free shipping. Natural, cruelty-free and organic beauty, health, nutrition and home products.
NINE | FAIR IVY
All handmade items. They have two subscription options: 1 Jewelry item per month for $25/mth plus $4 shipping ($9 shipping to Canada), or 3 handmade items per month for $40/mth plus $10 shipping.
ten | healthy surprise
$50/month with free shipping. 15 full-sized snacks delivered monthly. Healthy, vegan and all gluten, dairy, corn, and soy-free. 10% a 3 month big box subscription with promo code 3bb2014
eleven | homegrown collective
$39/month plus $9 shipping. An eco-friendly, natural box of products to create several items that help you live a more self-sufficient & sustainable lifestyle.
twelve | design sponge quarterly
$100/box, free shipping on subscriptions only. Did you know that Quarterly offered a box curated by Grace Bonney from Design Sponge? Too bad it’s wait listed! The cutting board looks gorgeous!

THIRTEEN
 |
LITTLE PNUTS
$60/box or $25/month delivered quarterly with free shipping. Sustainably made, ecologically friendly, organic, and naturally made toys from around the world for infants and kids up to 5 years old. 10% off promo code CYBERJINGLE
left: headband | Hairclips | dress | boots
right: tank | hairbands | leggings
we also have subscriptions with:
fabkids
A monthly clothing subscription for kids. Outfits start at $29.95. They release new outfits each month that you can choose from or just skip the month and not get charged. We joined for Arden and so far we’ve gotten a dress, a pair of Ugg-style boots and some hair accessories. Good prices if you’re a VIP. BTW the headband and hair clips are only $1 right now! If you use my affiliate link to join, you can get your first outfit for only $15 + shipping.

FABletics
Kate Hudson’s monthly workout clothing subscription. Each month there’s new outfits to choose from and you can pick out any outfit you like or just skip the month. Outfits start at $49.95 and the value is great for the price. My first outfit was the one above. The leggings have great compression and never get baggy or saggy. The tank is supportive with its built in shelf bra and the white outer layer drapes nicely. The headbands are great too because of their rubber-lining that makes them grip with out pulling.

Do you guys subscribe to anything? What are your favorites? I’d love to hear what you guys think about this new retail model! I’m obviously a fan 😉 They also make great Christmas gifts! We’ve purchased a few Kiwi Crate gift subscriptions for friends already. I think subscriptions are the answer to the “What do you get someone who has everything” question, am I right?

    Ipsy.com $10/mo.

Best subscription EVER. Money well spent.
