Copy Cat Chic Room Redo | Modern Eclectic Dining Room

This entire home tour, which was featured on the blog “A Cup of Jo” back in April, seemed to go Pinterest viral immediately (and for good reason). This week I’ve zeroed in on the dining room, but don’t be surprised if I circle back for more. The eclectic mix of finishes and novel lighting make for a truly unique space that feels beautiful enough for formal dining yet casual enough for breakfast for two.

When I’m on the hunt for contemporary lighting, I immediately turn to One Forty Three, the Nevada-based Etsy darling with the most coveted sconces in all the land. These matte black chandeliers proved to be just the ticket, though I’m betting you’ll only need one unless you really feel like calling up the electrician. The dining chairs are actually the exact same as those in the original space: Design Within Reach’s $99 “Salt” chair, which modernizes the classic Windsor style. A cozy shag carpet, sturdy slab table, and fresh fig tree polish off the space, plus you can’t go wrong an oversized print made from your favorite photo like Sarah Sherman Samuel did here. $3 for enormous personalized art? Sold!
