Copy Cat Chic Room Redo | Forest Green Bedroom

I have a confession: I selfishly chose this bedroom to redo because I’m after this look myself! You see, I’m moving in two weeks to my very own place for the first time, and painting my new bedroom dramatically dark green is one of the first projects I want to tackle. When this space popped up on Apartment Therapy’s Small Cool Contest, I knew I had found the inspiration I needed to go bold in my new space.

When it comes to bedrooms, I always prefer fluffy white bedding and soothing dark walls. I just want to feel like I’m sleeping on a cloud…in a cave. This bedroom certainly doesn’t disappoint, and the upholstered headboard ups the luxury and comfort factors for a song. Another favorite find is the contemporary nightstand–a pretty wood finish with closed storage is a win-win for sure. The wall color is so shaded it’s practically neutral, so you can have fun mixing in your own throw pillows and decorative accents without fear of clashing. Who’s ready to go paint shopping with me?

  1. Love the paint color – similiar to the the Valspar color I have in my living room (Woodlawn Juniper). Well maybe that is a little "bluer" – just love how it changes color in the light.

    1. I think computer screens can display colors so differently 🙂 That's why it's always good to try a swatch of paint on your wall to see if it works for your space!
