The cheaper one looks nicer, the RH one looks a bit garish and over the top.

This French empire bed is perfection, any color works perfectly fine for me. 😀

The Magnussen one does look much nicer and more tasteful than the gaudy Restoration Hardware bed, unfortunately Restoration Hardware sued and Magnussen had to discontinue the nice looking one. The Restoration hardware one isn't any better quality either, soft wood veneers like most furniture these days.
Too bad, I would have bought the Magnussen one, but would never buy the RH one. I hear one of the Gotti kids even had the RH bed in his reality TV show. horrid!

I just bought the Restoration Harware Empire bed. It actually looks much better in person. Pricey yet this is something you plan to keep until your time is over in this world. There is a natural finish as well as the antique black shown above.

I also thought the RH bed was gaudy and over the top until seeing it in person. It's much more subdued and beautiful in person…..the camera adds 10lbs???

Would suggest you do just that, as your comments ARE WAAAAAY OUT OF LINE!
THE BED IS BEAUTIFUL!

Yay – just bought it via the internet and not seen in person. So happy to read some nice comments – I wanted a fairytale bed – something that looked like it had been hauled out of castle. Thanks Dick
