2011 was a big year for me personally as well the blog! I have high expectations that 2012 will be even better!
Resolution #1 – Blog redesign: It’s time for a new blog design I think. I’d like to make the site a little more user friendly as well as more aesthetically pleasing. I haven’t even started to think about this yet, but it’s definitely on the priority list!
Resolution #2 – Be a better photographer: All of my favorite blogs have one thing in common, fantastic pictures. I really need to learn more about the different settings on my DSLR!
Resolution #3 – More personal home projects: A couple of my most popular posts are Arden’s Nursery and my Thanksgiving Tablescape posts. I’m flattered that you guys enjoy seeing more of my home and projects! So I vow to show you more in 2012!
Resolution #4 – Be more on top of communication: I’m not sure if you all have noticed but it takes me awhile to respond to emails. It’s been hard trying to respond to everyone’s emails…the build up so fast. I’m going to try to be a little better this year. I also am going to try and a more consistent “twitterer”. I go through bouts where I’m on twitter constantly and then I don’t check it for almost a week. I’m going to try and break that cycle!
Now for some more personal resolutions!
Resolution #5 – Get my butt in shape: I’d like to finally get back into shape and be able to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans! I was almost there before the holidays came around, but after 4 different Thanksgiving dinners I realized I was fighting an uphill battle. And that brings me to #6…
Resolution #6 – Start Meal Planning: I want to eat healthier and I want my family to eat healthier. So that means mapping out meals ahead of time. I want to eat more fresh veggies and fruits and healthy grains and legumes. Yum.
Resolution #7 – Simplify & Organize: I say a big fat yes to being more minimalist. I’m tired of living in clutter! Having a baby around obviously doesn’t help. This year I vow to come up with solutions for all of my clutter whether it be household or electronic 😉
Resolution #8 – Get out more: I want to enjoy the outdoors more…more walks, more parks, more scenery. Instead of just getting from point A to B. I want to take a deep breath of fresh air and feel the sun in my face or the crispness of the chill on my cheeks. I don’t have to work in an office during the day, so I need to stop taking it for granted!
What are some of your resolutions for 2012?
