The Bugaboo Donkey

Another baby related post…sorry for those of you who are tuning out right about now 😉
A couple of days ago I got an email from the folks over at Bugaboo letting me know that they’d be debuting a new product today, the Bugaboo Donkey. I’ve been patiently awaiting this new design because I know for sure I want a Bugaboo! I originally wanted the Bee because of it’s small footprint, but after playing around with both the Bee and the Cameleon in person I decided I wanted the Cameleon.
Well when I heard about the new Donkey coming our way I couldn’t wait to see what it looks like. And I’m going to share it with you folks 🙂 I don’t think it’s been technically released yet, but for those of you expecting twins or who have a 2nd lil’ one on the way, you no longer have to sell your trusty Bugaboo for a double stroller of a different brand!
Check out Bugaboo’s new DOUBLE stroller, the Donkey!
Now, if I was wasn’t expecting my first….the Cameleon it is 😉 Although you can use the Donkey with just one child, I’m not sure the extra width of the Donkey is for me….

*** Update to Post***
OK am I misinformed, or what? Turns out the Donkey’s width in single mode is actually the same width as the Cameleon. How did they do that? I’m impressed! This might be a great stroller for parents with only one child after all!

I hope they decide to give you one for free, for this great publicity you're giving them! I'm 5'8" and none of these are made for tall women, unfortunately. McClarens "fit" tall people better, IMHO. Hope you're feeling well these days!

The city select by baby jogger is similar and it is fantastic used it this weekend for 2 – 2 yr. olds and it was a breeze to use.

@hush – yea, right! I wish 😉 Crossing my fingers!
@Heather – they didn't say, I'm sure it will be a pretty penny, but the one thing is they're made to last!

From experience, I would have gotten a double stroller of some kind when I was having my first baby as the second seat, whether you fill it with another baby later or not, it is fantastic having that space for packages, a purse, and any other stuff that takes up precious arm and hand space when navigating with a stroller!! You won't be disappointed if you do a double right off the get-go!!

I just read that the Donkey's width when in single mode is the same width as the Cameleon, which was the stroller I was going to buy! Maybe I'll be interested in the Donkey after all? That storage basket looks like it would be a lot easier to reach 😉

I second Veronica. We just bought the City Select and we LOVE it. Baby Jogger is definitely a step ahead of Bug on this one. The footprint and different configurations of the City Select are waaaaaaay better. I'm sure that the Donkey will probably also cost twice as much! I would definitely skip the Bug!

I am so elated they have finally come out with a double. I am only having my first, but just purchased a Cameleon. I will hopefully be able to stick with Bugaboo now as my family grows. 🙂
