About Us

Reichel R. Broussard
FOUNDER & EDITOR

I’ve always loved home decor magazines, growing up I remember raiding my Mom's Better Homes and Garden's magazines and tearing out pictures of the rooms I liked. It drove her crazy! :) I've combined my love of home design and my love for all things tech related into a career.

My previous jobs have included working in design and marketing; ranging from marketing at a clothing company to working in the creative department for Pottery Barn. I currently freelance on different creative projects as well as offer style advice and interior design services focusing on lower budgets, but high style (check out the Room Design tab up at the top of the page). On top of all that I also take the time out to contribute to my blog Copycat Chic.

My husband and I bought our first home a few years ago in the San Francisco Bay Area. In order to afford the high mortgage, we've learned to budget and bargain hunt! When not working, I scoured the internet for sales, closeouts and bargains in order to make our house into a home...on the cheap. I started finding so many deals that I couldn't help but share them with everyone else. And that's how Copy Cat Chic was born!

 Announcing the arrival of Arden!
Arden was born on March 1st, 2011. Don't worry Copy Cat Chic's original premise will stay the same, but I might have a couple of baby-focus "extra" posts once and awhile!

Other hobbies include riding horses and swimming. The Mr. and I also have a huge interest in living an eco-friendly lifestyle, especially after little Arden was born. We eat mostly organic and I'm currently vegetarian.

Chelsea Horsley
ROOM DESIGN EDITOR

I'm Chelsea Horsley, mother to twin babies and a toddler. Second to them, (okay third, because let's not forget I'm happily married:), I'm emphatic and passionate about creating a beautiful space for us to live in, always have been. Because my husband is still in school, and we haven't won the lottery just yet, this has always needed to be done on a small budget. Whether our home was in the Caribbean, Utah, or most recently, Michigan, stores like Home Goods, Target, Ikea have been wonderful to me. Not to mention the countless (and endless!) sources on the web.

I blog here, about my family life. It's the best of what goes on in the Horsley Home, a lot of which are my kids, mixed in with great home design, good food, and style. I don't hold much back, so you can really get to know me:)

Muneeba Sutton
INTERN

Hello everyone! I'm Muneeba. I moved to the Bay Area three years ago with my husband, right after our wedding. While trying to nest into our first place together, I discovered my passion for home design with a do-it-yourself attitude.  Now, we've just moved into our first home and I'm constantly thinking of new ways to pour our personalities into our humble abode and make it truly our own, within a budget.  I love being creative and crafty, from painting and repurposing garage sale furniture, making my own pendant lamps, to creating unique art pieces.  I am always browsing architecture and interior design magazines for inspiration. On the weekends, you can usually find me with my husband, gathering ideas for new DIY projects, while shop hopping to unique home decor stores in the bay area.  I'm so excited to be joining Copy Cat Chic and to share my DIY adventures with everyone soon!
