This hip living room featured on Homepolish caught my eye with its modern-bohemian mix and clean, symmetrical layout. Even half of this space’s goodness would do a living room proud (and be easier on the budget)! The vintage hmong pillows add a nice splash of color, while the layered rugs keep things cozy. That chandelier, an iconic piece of design in itself, really steals the show and has such a great presence in the room. Now…which sofa to curl up on?
What better way to spruce up an average piece of decor than with a bit of fringe? Forget enormous, stuffy tassels hanging from heavy drapes—these picks are light, bright, and meant to put a smile on your face. A cheeky pom pom border gives ordinary linens a casual, bohemian flair, while a colorful tassel perks up any piece of hardware. Pom pom and tassel earrings are all the rage these days—would you bring this trend from head to home?
It’s no secret that we adore Amber Lewis around here, and this living space (in fact this entire home) that she designed is our latest obsession. Her trademark style—mid-century modern meets bohemian—always gives us major California-cool vibes and makes for such eclectic and inviting spaces. I love the balance between light (rug, walls, chairs, lamps) and dark (sofa, credenza, coffee table) in this room as well as the hits of blue and green for a natural touch. This space pushes the budget a bit, but with a real leather sofa included, it’s worth every penny!
