This week’s room redo vote brings us another win for team Studio McGee! With a feminine, French-country feel, this girl’s room is just the sweetest space. The vintage-style rug and tufted bench are classic choices, while the nightstands and lamps bring in a modern vibe. The caned bed is my favorite piece in the space by far for its textural and historical feel. This style (see the original bed here) can be a budget buster, but here’s a clever DIY that would look just as darling painted in white!
This dining space by Blackband Design is a modern-rustic dream come true. If this were in my home I’d certainly be the first to claim that cozy banquette for coffee each morning. The zinc-topped table adds a nice industrial edge that balances the warmth of the woven chairs, bamboo window shades, and rope chandelier. The large-scale piece of art certainly makes a splash though, and it works so well with the patterned curtains. What lucky clients to have such a beautiful space to enjoy each day!
This hip living room featured on Homepolish caught my eye with its modern-bohemian mix and clean, symmetrical layout. Even half of this space’s goodness would do a living room proud (and be easier on the budget)! The vintage hmong pillows add a nice splash of color, while the layered rugs keep things cozy. That chandelier, an iconic piece of design in itself, really steals the show and has such a great presence in the room. Now…which sofa to curl up on?
Whether corralling beauty products in the bathroom or libations on the bar, a pretty tray is a must-have for every room in the home. These finds are beautiful on their own, but using them to add a bit more style, depth, and organization to a surface gives function to their forms. A flash of mirror or metal adds a glamorous touch, while a natural texture leans more eclectic and bohemian. Of course you can never go wrong with a clean, high-gloss or acrylic tray in a modern and minimalist home. Which one of these darling catch-alls are you all about?
What better way to spruce up an average piece of decor than with a bit of fringe? Forget enormous, stuffy tassels hanging from heavy drapes—these picks are light, bright, and meant to put a smile on your face. A cheeky pom pom border gives ordinary linens a casual, bohemian flair, while a colorful tassel perks up any piece of hardware. Pom pom and tassel earrings are all the rage these days—would you bring this trend from head to home?
