It’s been a little while since I’ve shared a Designer Destination with you all and I have SUCH a great one to share with you guys today: Solage located in Calistoga. I’ve been an admirer of Solage for awhile now and I’m excited that we got a chance to stay there a few weeks ago. It was just as amazing as I had hoped.
Solage is tucked away in a nice little corner of town, just a hop away from Lincoln Ave. The grounds are gorgeous and the hotel is spread out with rooms in several quaint cottages with a main lobby and restaurant in larger modern farmhouse-style buildings. There are complimentary beach cruisers placed around the property for your leisure, very cool. I managed to take a quick jaunt around the grounds after checking in! The pool is amazing, with palm trees and mountains serving as its backdrop.
The room was so well thought out, with every amenity you’d need. Our room had huge tub with a separate shower covered in river rock. It made me feel like I was showering out in nature. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings tastefully modern, yet not too stark. The vibe was casual luxe, and very comfortable.
There’s an amazing restaurant on-site called SolBar. We were super happy to take advantage of fact 😉 The Mr and I enjoyed an amazing multi-course meal perfectly paired with different wines by the glass. Amazing. It was one of the best meals I can ever remember having!
And although I didn’t get to see (or enjoy) the spa, I hear it’s pretty top-notch. So just an excuse to head on back, right? It’s the perfect destination in the heart of Napa Valley wine country. In fact we tasted our way over to the hotel, perfect way to spend the day, right?
What made the trip even better? A brand new Lexus ES350. I was pretty lucky to get to use this beauty for the weekend. Yep, nothing like a Lexus to make you feel luxurious and spoiled. The car was a beast too with 268 horsepower. The Silverado Trail was pretty fun, lemme tell you. It even had parking assist! Hello, any help I can get with parallel parking is a huge plus in my book! Road tripping is pretty fun in a car like this. Check out the Lexus site for more information.
See more designer destinations here. Thank you to Solage for providing accommodations and Lexus for providing the transportation and of course all of you wonderful readers for your support! Thanks for making it possible for trips like this! The perfect gift at the end of the year, I’d say 😉

Wow, I love it so much! My favourite is the fireplace area with all the pumpkins. It looks so warm and inviting.
