I’m already thinking about how to start living healthier for the 2017. The holidays are always full of temptations aren’t they? Starting with a major sugar rush from Halloween, followed by Thanksgiving feasts (yes, plural) and then ending up with a plethora of Christmas cookies. I’ve been trying to stay on top of things, but clothing is definitely a little tight right now! I haven’t been exercising or eating as healthy has a should be. I’m sure you all have the same problem, am I right? So I decided there had to be some convenient and time-saving options available for the hardworking family like us. After doing some major research and trial and error, I found three GREAT companies that I highly recommend. I’ve tried and vetted all three and am a huge fan. They make it easy to start being healthier right now, no excuses.
THISTLE.CO | fresh meal & juice delivery
Use code REICHEL024 and we’ll both receive $20 credit!
I’ve been using Thistle.co for a couple of months now and I’m really enjoying the tasty food and whole convenience of it. I’ve tried everything they have to offer, breakfasts, lunch, dinner, snacks, soups, juices and milks. I have to say I’ve liked about 95% of the food I’ve received. That’s saying A LOT, because I’m extraordinarily picky. Yes, it’s a problem, just ask my husband. The meals are delivered fresh and ready to eat and they’ve always been filling, and unique and just pretty darn delicious. I don’t think I’ve had the same meal twice. They’re ingredients and menu is so unique and full of flavor without the excess oil, salt and fats. I could have never come up with the menus on my own. And the best part? They sit in your fridge ready to go for a quick meal when you just don’t have time to make anything. SO easy folks, just so easy. Have you ever tried a meal service like this? I’ve tried several others, but the food came frozen. Major difference in taste between frozen meals vs freshly prepared and delivered. I’m a definitely a convert. Also the more you order the cheaper everything is. They offer a vegan and non-vegan options, which makes me super happy. And let me tell you, it’s hard to find healthy, and good tasting vegan meals delivered. Those aforementioned frozen meals? Usually packed with a ton of salt…and onions. Not my personal fave. With Thistle, I feel like every ingredient is carefully thought out and analyzed for optimum taste and health benefit. So cool and WAY healthier than ordering take out. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
CARE/OF | daily vitamin subscription
Use code COPYCAT2 to receive 50% off your first month of vitamins
I’m an inconsistent vitamin taker. Sigh. I find it so hard to remember to take them regularly. And not only that…I’m just not really sure what I should be taking. I guess multivitamins are alright, but not ideal. Our bodies and habits are all so different, it’s hard for me to see how a one-size fits all type of vitamin would work for the general population. When I heard about about Care/Of Vitamins I was intrigued. They customize vitamins for you based on a questionnaire that you fill out. So for example I put down that I tend to prefer a vegan and organic diet and they take that into consideration with the recommendations they offer. And on top of that, you can also add in specific vitamins that you’d like to take. Then they give you your vitamins conveniently separated out into daily packs. No fuss and no forgetting what to take and when. So convenient, right? Also stay tuned on my Instagram account, I’ll be posting a little giveaway courtesy of Care/of!
DAILY HARVEST | Single serve smoothies
Use this LINK and we’ll both get $15.98 credit.
Who loves smoothies? Pretty much everyone enjoys a good smoothie. I don’t know about you, but I definitely get stuck in a smoothie rut. I tend to make the same smoothie over and over because it tastes good and I don’t want to mess it up. I’ve had some pretty gnarly smoothies before, so I learn what works and then I stick with it. That’s where Daily Harvest comes in. They deliver smoothie ingredients doled out in perfect proportions for single serving smoothies in a variety of GREAT tasting flavors. Forget smoothie recipe experimenting, they’ve done that all for you. They also have amazing, hard-to-find, organic ingredients. So great since I don’t have to source them out myself. Oh and did I mention they come in their own paper smoothie cup? All you have to do is open the cup, pour in the liquid of your preference until it reaches the top of the cup. Then dump that all into your blender and blend. Once it’s all blended you pour it back into the original cup, pop the lid back on and insert a straw and you’re good to go! Man, I love it. They run a lil’ bit on the expensive side at $8 a smoothie, but when you consider the unique ingredients, the at home convenience and the fact that it’s organic…well, it makes it all worth it to me. Especially since I don’t think I’ve had a bad tasting Daily Harvest smoothie…they’re seriously all tasty. No complaints!
So what do you guys think? I have the healthy food all worked out 🙂 It’s a pretty great combo, right? Next thing on my to-do list? Find a gym or trainer or some way of exercising…sigh. What have you guys tried? Any recommendations? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
