Copy Cat Chic Redo | Mid-Century Bedroom

Friday, May 23, 2014

Mid-century furniture pieces are such a great thing to have in your home because they bring so much personality and style to a space. This bedroom is a great example—the linens, art and general d├ęcor (excepting the rug) are really minimal, yet this room still feels “finished”. There are lot of affordable authentic mid-century pieces for sale these days (I may be doing myself a disservice but Remixologie here in Austin is one of my very favorite furniture haunts), and a lot of furniture retailers are now producing replicas that are just as good looking as the originals (West Elm is doing some great things in that department). I chose to use a West Elm piece in our room redo today since it’s widely available, but I wanted to share some great finds with y’all  as well (1234). Jenny from LGN also has a jealousy-inducing post on vintage furniture shopping in general—I can tell you with ZERO shame that I have already tried to convince my man to road trip with me to AZ to go furniture shopping (amazingly he did not jump at the chance).
