Happy Friday! I know we are all anxiously counting down the days until Christmas and New Years Eve, so hopefully this post gets you excited for all the upcoming time you’re going to spend laying around in pajamas with your cats (no? just me?).
This week I’m shamelessly salivating over Nina Garcia’s bedroom. We all know she’s beyond fierce when it comes to fashion, so naturally I was elated to check out her Upper East Side apartment too (not creepy at all).
Y’all–Architectural Digest delivered the goods on this one. Every. Single. Room. Is. So. Fly. It’s the grown-up apartment of my dreams. My love of chic tailoring, minimal accessorizing and the balance of masculine and feminine is well-documented at this point, and this home ticks all those boxes (though I do want it known that I prefer a more traditional kitchen, and I really wish I could sit on that bench). Nina’s philosophy perfectly sums up everything I wanted to say about this room:
“When I come home, I need to feel instantly disconnected. In the rest of my life, I feel overstimulated. Here, I want things to be serene and unfussy, full of objects I love—but not too many of them.”
Upholstered bed, $356

Happy Hunting & Happy Holidays!!
