We took a trip over to Lowe’s and picked up fun 6-7ftish Noble Fir. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen some really cute pics of Arden shopping for trees. Yes, she had lots of fun in the Christmas tree “forest”.
Our dog Conan isn’t quite sure about the tree yet π He looks a little worried, doesn’t he? Don’t worry, he always has a worried look on his face. That’s the norm π
We also got this amazing fresh garland to complement the great archway we have going on in our living room and dining rooms. Thanks to Eddie Ross and his garland-hanging expertise, I bought a bunch of these little screw-in hooks from Lowe’s and used floral wire to hang it. It was a pretty easy process, surprisingly.
I hung up a couple of mini wreaths on the windows in the living room as well, for a little Christmas spirit. Although I think I’m going to keep these up year-round, because they are so cute.
And yet another wreath (I think?) in the dining room. I also used one of those handy brass hooks to hang this. Love those things!
I also found this adorable strand of jingle bells. I was toying with the idea of making Conan wear it π But decided the fairy wings were enough dress up for the week. So instead the door knob proudly wears the jingle bells. I love that when ever the door is opened it sounds like Christmas!
Now on to the dining room!
We’re not hosting Christmas again this year, so I didn’t want to go aaaalll out with a full on table set-up. I thought this was a good compromise and not too fussy to keep out on the table fulltime. I used some leftover mini white pumpkins from Halloween (bought at Lowe’s too actually!). And some snipped off branches from our Christmas tree make a nice cozy bed for some (battery powered!) candles I also scored at Lowe’s.
As you can tell, I went with a very natural decor-theme. I did that last year as well. There’s just something about the smell of fresh pine and Christmas time. Happy sigh.
