A New Year's Eve Celebration and Giveaway

Monday, December 31, 2012
The Mr and I are staying home tonight and enjoying a little bubbly a la deux. I set up a fun little bar "tray" for our cozy little party.

I picked up this gorgeous lacquered black and silver tray from Lowe's! It's part of the allen + roth collection and it was on sale for $19! It's substantial and has a velvet bottom. Overall a very nice, quality tray; especially for the price!

I've also been wanting to do a DIY version of this gold hex candleholder I spotted on Pinterest. So when I was at Lowe's I picked up some gold spray paint and found some hex nuts that would have worked perfectly! On my way out I passed through the plumbing section and spotted these lil' nuggets. I thought they would be much more fun as candleholders so I got them instead. I spray painted them a nice shiny gold and they turned out fab. What do you think?

Hope you guys are ringing in the new year exactly as you hoped to!

  1. LOVE the candle holders! I use copper plumbing pipe & plumbing fixures/fastens for my curtain rods, it looks simple but kind of industrial.
