So in case you weren't keeping track, that's three different ways to win a Cisco Valet Plus as well as a personal assistant of your very own for six months. Doesn't that sound fabulous? I'm definitely going to bust out with my fabulous video skills and make myself a video to enter. I could totally use a personal assistant, especially with Baby B on the way! :D
Hey guys, this is kind of a random post, but I just had to share for those of you in San Francisco or New York. A couple of weekends ago I had a bunch of friends staying at my house for the weekend. It was like a giant slumber party! I had my regular house cleaner scheduled to come before they came, but she disappeared, as in cell phone disconnected and nowhere to be found.
I was frantically searching for someone to come and clean at the last minute, as in...the NEXT day. The folks over at Zen Home Cleaning totally stepped in to the rescue. I had been emailing with them back and forth earlier in the week because they had offered me a free trial of their services. Thankfully they managed to squeeze me into their schedule the next day. HUGE sigh of relief there.
I had been debating about switching cleaners already, because I'd really like to find a more eco-friendly service once the baby arrives. Green home cleaning is actually Zen home's motto and they offer the most adorable touches to make your home feel a little more luxurious. I took a few pictures for you guys :)
( Master Bedroom is a work in progress! )
The chocolate was DELICIOUS!
They have other services like organizing, painting and party help. They were just featured in Daily Candy as well, check it out:
Talk about a unique piece of furniture! Caitlin from Caitlin Creer Interiors (a blog FAV of mine) spotted this steal and emailed me about it. I love it, especially ironic since both pieces can be found on the same website! ;)
This month marks Copy Cat Chic's third year blogoversary! I can't believe it's been three years already. And like I do every year, I have a GREAT giveaway for you guys thanks to the generosity of my friends over at Cisco! They've offered up a free Cisco Valet Plus to one lucky Copy Cat Chic reader! I know I usually focus on furniture and home decor, but I just had to go a little techie with this one. I've been having issues with my wireless network lately...and to a full time blogger, that's not good news. And I figured I needed to share the love with my loyal readers. (For more giveaway details and how to enter see the bottom of this post.)
I just received a brand spanking new Cisco Valet Plus to review. I was pretty stoked about the offer because my ole' Apple Airport was slowly giving up the good fight. I hadn't figured out what I was going to replace the Airport with, but the Cisco folks came to the rescue! I was considering the Apple Time Capsule but the $200 price tag was enough to make me stop and think. I'm happy to say that the Cisco Valet Plus is only $89!
I created a little video showing the set-up process - Which ended up taking less than 5 minutes!! I have to admit I procrastinated a little in setting it up, because I was worried about network downtime. It was sooo easy, I'm still in shock. And the network is working great for me, no signal dropping and there's even a separate network for guests! LOVE it.
Here's a short clip of me setting up the Valet Plus. I'm just starting with this whole video thing, so I apologize in advance ;) lol
My boy Nate is a fan of the Cisco Valet Plus too...here's his input! His video is just a tad bit better than mine ;)

I received the custom nursery bedding a couple of weeks ago and I've meaning to take pictures for you guys. I FINALLY got around to it. I absolutely love how it turned out! For those of you who are interested in your own custom sewn bedding, I used Etsy seller Noeske Notions. They did a fabulous job interpreting exactly what I wanted! The Vintage Plumes fabric is just gorgeous on the crib skirt, don't you think? And for those of you familiar with Erika's (Urban Grace) nursery for her little girl Sloan, you'll definitely recognize the influence on the style of my crib bedding ;)
Here's a little teaser for you:
Here's an overall crib shot with the new skirt and bumper, you can even see a peak of the flokati rug I ordered from Gilt.
A close-up of the bumper! The Sleep Sheep & Jelly Cat were presents from the baby shower! The crib sheet is just a plain white crib sheet, easy peasy.
Detailed shot of the bumper ties. And I had to show you the adorable Burberry dress I just had to have when I spotted it at the Nordstrom Rack this weekend! Isn't it just ADORABLE?
And last but not least, the floor length crib skirt allows for plenty of storage underneath the crib.
I had originally planned to paint the crib a peacock teal color, but the Mr. and I have been waffling back and forth on that. The white doesn't look bad at all and the Mr would love to not have to paint the thing ;) I'm still debating though...I need your input. What do you guys think? Would it be too much teal if we painted the crib?
(For those of you interested in previous nursery posts you can visit the "Baby B" label on the right sidebar!)
***Crib & Bumper Pad Disclaimer***
Thanks in advance for all of your concern with Baby B's safety! I just wanted to assure you that I'm aware of the dangers of using crib bumpers like this. I plan to replace them with breathables once it becomes an issue. As for the crib, yes, it's a drop-sided crib and yes we do have the kit to fix it. We haven't gotten around to putting it on yet, but we definitely will before Baby B starts using it!
Who out there doesn't replace hardware when revamping a dresser or cabinet, etc? And isn't Anthropologie one of the first places you look? Their hardware isn't thaaat expensive, but when you add up how many pieces you need...it can be surprising.
Thanks to reader Katie in Montana we now have a couple of alternatives!
I made a couple of changes to the blog this morning! Nothing too major, but I figured I'd give you guys a heads up!
I moved the "Recent Press" feature from a side bar feature to having its own separate page. You can find the link for it up on the top left of the blog.
And to replace the Recent Press feature on the sidebar, I've added "Latest Purchases". This is where I'll list my latest buys from my favorite daily deal websites:
