My husband: "Take a look at this Menards ad. They're having a lighting sale."
Me: "No thanks. They're not going to have anything I like!"
Husband: "You never know. Here's the ad"
I take a cursory glance ready to dismiss it when out of the corner of my eye I spot the Tom dixon look alikes for $25! We go to the store and pick up a couple and order the rest. They have all the shapes except for the xlg one. I would love to own the real deal but way out of my budget. Tom Dixon's hammered brass interior is gorgeous. These pendants are really lightweight with a cheap looking gold painted interior but I'm mostly interested in their silhouettes anyway. We're going to have 5 of these babies hanging above our kitchen island. I initially wanted to hang like 10 of them in our dining room but hubby said the plaster ceiling was too hard to play with so we settled for the drywall ceiling kitchen instead.

I had seen this blog post a few weeks ago but was still surprised when I found these pendants actually hanging at my local Menards. They had three different shapes, just like the original Tom Dixon versions. I snagged two of the "fat" and one of the "tall" and used them as an arrangement over my island. I'm very happy with the look, and can't believe they were only $30 each! The only thing to note is that the cords can be kind of kinked, since they are pretty cheap, so it does take some finagling to get everything to hang straight. Otherwise two big thumbs up!
