Crate & Barrel Colette Bed

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Okie here's a goodie for you folks out there dying for a chic find! This bed is ALL over the place, yes it's drool-worthy and the price tag is godawful. I spotted a GREAT option over on The Domestic Wannabe blog. Thanks Ashley for posting about this great deal!

  1. I am completely in love with this bed, so in a hunt, I also found the Urban Home bed. Sadly, it costs more than $300 to ship to TX (where I am) so it ends up not being as good a deal as at first glance. I found this (though not the same color as the lovely Colette) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KMJY1C/ref=oss_product and liked the gray better, so ordered it! Free Shipping!

  5. I made one similar in style that you can see pics of on my blog katiebethinteriors.blogspot.com...I made it because I am a cheap who didn't want to spend that much on a beautiful headboard so found a way to make one herself! :)

  9. I was so excited to see this great find! Well, at least, until I googled "opinions Urban Home". Try it...the place has terrible customer service and the quality of the furniture doesn't seem much better. Guess you get what you pay for in this case.

  10. This bed is so beautiful! What a deal. The Urban Home option looks just as nice too. We recreated this look by buying a khaki taupe linen headboard from Target. It looks great and cost less than $300!

  11. I actually considered buying the colette but was so happy when I found the urban chic one -- until I saw it in the store up close. The fabric is not linen, it's a synthetic. And it's not a platform, you still need to use a box spring. But I guess if you don't care about those things (it looks identical from a distance of a few feet back) it's definitely worth it!

  12. Probably late to the game (as usual) but saw your blog mentioned in Real Simple. Way to go!

  13. I will let you know how the Amazon find works out, since it seems the quality and service at Urban Home isn't up to par!

I ALSO saw Copy Cat Chic in Real Simple magazine this month! Congrats! I subscribe, so I read every day, and it's always nice to be ahead of the curve!

  15. Do you have any suggestions of what to put on the wall above the headboard. We have a king size Collette. I was thinking about some mirrors.

  16. Archana, I love the Crate & Barrel Dubois mirrors. When I went to the store to purchase them, they had them hanging over their floor model of the Colette bed. I can't remember if they were horizontal or on the diagonal, but you need to do a grouping of them and it's gorgeous. Getting ready to do it in my own room.

  17. I love this post, but I would love a copy cat chic find with a bed that can ship to NC. Or, a store in NC that I can find a bed like this.
