Here's another good deal I found, perfect for every nursery!

Pottery Barn Kid's Cameron Shelving with the coordinating Canvas Boxes. The Cameron 2-shelf bookcase is $199. And the Canvas Storage (sold separately) are $24 each. Total for the shelf and 6 canvas boxes? $343.

Smart Bargains definitely has a "bargain" for you, though, same case as yesterday...not quite as fun. Works for me though, I must say :) The Stella Shelf with 6 Canvas Boxes is only $149.99. The discounted price is available to new customers using the promo ID: 12663. Not too bad huh?

I'm back at home! After being gone for a week on business, it's good to be home. :) Hope you all didn't miss too much bargain hunting while I was away!

I love Pottery Barn Kid's adorable Montgomery 3-Shelf Bookcase. I think a step-ladder bookcase is just so perfect for a kids playroom and the green colorway is just too cute. On sale for only $199.99 it's not too unattainable.

At only $69.99 Smart Bargain's A Frame Three Tier Shelf is quite the bargain though, you have to admit! Although it is black and not quite as cute as the green version, it's definitely more adaptable to adult spaces, that's for sure!

Wine Bar

>> Friday, April 17, 2009

Happy Friday folks! I think we all deserve to enjoy a good glass (or bottle) of vino tonight wouldn't you say? If you guys are like me...I always enjoy having good wine around. The problem is...where do you store it? I've always thought that the Modular Open Wine Bar from Pottery Barn was such a great option. An attractive way to store your wine out in the open, not hidden away in some basement somewhere, don't you think? BUT, I think Cost Plus' Trent Wine Bar is an even better option!

Pottery Barn's Modular Open Wine Bar
Wine Grid Base = $299
Open Hutch = $199

Cost Plus' Trent Wine Bar
Wine Grid Base = $149
Open Hutch = $79

Well not to worry Cost Plus has an even better option for you guys!

Ron Marvin - One of My Design Idols

>> Monday, April 13, 2009

Have I told you guys that I am a small space stalker? If you didn't realize my obsession from my Kelly G post, this one will open your eyes ;) I recently ran across this Small Spaces blog post on the Alkemie Blog. I love this little studio space. In fact it reminded me of one of my all time favorite San Francisco apartments featured in Metropolitan Home. I have this in my library of tear sheets safely tucked away.

The article was about a small jewel-box of an apartment in which the owner furnished everything (EVERYTHING) in the studio for under $100. From street finds to sample sales, he outfitted his gorgeous SF space to look just scrumptious. Now just to let you know, this article was published in January of 2001. That's right 2001!

Fast forward to Alkemie's Blog post...now tell me you don't see some similarities. Well, I did. I thought to myself, now this has to be the updated (8 year later) version of my favorite little SF apartment. But no! This apartment is in New York, and in fact was a Semifinalist in Apartment Therapy's Smallest Coolest Apartment Contest.

I did a little research and guess what I found? It's the same Owner/Designer: Ron Marvin. Ron Marvin's two apartments have been featured in Metropolitan Home three different times as well as being on a couple of HGTV shows: Decorating Cents and Small Space, Big Style. I just love this guy's style. It's timeless yet updated. I love his use of white and neutrals, it's calm yet playful at the same time. I wish he still lived in San Francisco so he could come make a little house call ;)

Visit his website: www.ronmarvin.com for more eye candy and videos!

Rate My Space

>> Friday, April 3, 2009

Go ahead make my day...or not ;) In honor of my anonymous fan from my Home Office Post. I figured I'd give all of you a chance to "rate my space". :D My pictures on there are pretty outdated though, except for the home office I just added. I'm going to start updating my spaces though. So keep checking back!

To view my spaces just click on the "Rate My Space" button that I added on the menu bar to the right:
How about all of you? Have you guys posted your homes on Rate My Space? I'd love to see them! Post a comment with a link to your spaces. It will make for some fun weekend reading. Speaking of that....It's the Mr's birthday this weekend. We are going to Carmel to celebrate! See you all when I get back and have a great weekend!

Copy Cat Chic's Home Office

>> Thursday, April 2, 2009

Okay guys! Pictures of the ole' home office as promised...
It's not quite finished yet, but oh so close!

The Mr. & I on our wedding day.

I have my laptop is resting on the cake stand I used for my wedding ;)
But it brings it up to perfect eye level. Ergonomics baby!
You might recognize the chair as well, it's filling in right now.
I'm looking for two matching wingbacks.....Comfort is my #1 priority!

I got this antique 1920's solid Oak partner's desk off of Craigslist for only $200!
I wanted a desk that I could spread out and do my freelancing with but also had room for the Mr. whenever he needed it. This worked out perfectly. I had to remove the top of the desk to fit it into the room! I swear it has 20+ screws holding it on...quite the project.

As you can see the top has a few marks on it, but personally, I love the distressing on it. Gives it more character.

I use the Classic Make-Up Sectional from Pottery Barn Teen to organize my desktop supplies. It's like it was made for the office...make-up shmake-up!

The Mr. uses the Pottery Barn Bedford Two-Drawer Paper Organizer to store all his paperwork.

The Eco Desk Calendar is from Anthropologie, but was made by Cat Seto.

This vintage armoir stores EVERYTHING.

I'm not quite sure what to do with this little table area...It's not working for me yet. I was given the very cool retro, schoolhouse-aqua steel paper organizer for free when I bought the desk. Love it!

Of course I had to have design shows on while I work! We scored this flat screen off of Craigslist for only $400! The golf clubs are left over from when this room used to be just the Mr.'s office. And that is the old desk...it's WAY too small to actually do work on. ;)

Now this is the awful little light fixure that came with the house. It definitely doesn't put off enough light for a home office. I'm not quite sure what we should get in here though...any suggestions?

Oh and the wall color is Benjamin Moore Wilmington Tan HC-34 :)
