Reader Request: Williams Sonoma Home Cosmopolitan Console Table

>> Friday, July 10, 2009

Happy Friday Guys! I've decided to start another feature for the blog! I've gotten a few requests from readers and sometimes I'm just not able to find a good "copy cat". Sooo, I figured more heads is better than one. How do you all feel like helping out a fellow reader? Let's give it a shot shall we?

This week's reader request is from Lelis. She's looking for an alternative to Williams Sonoma Home's Cosmopolitan Console Table. This is a gorgeous piece, but the price tag? Not so gorgeous. ;) At $1,250 it's a little more than the average person would want to spend on a console table, dontcha think?

Williams Sonoma Home's Cosmopolitan Console Table = $1,250.00

So help a reader out folks...anyone out there seen a similar table for less? I've looked at a few of my usual suspects, but haven't quite found anything that looks anything like it.

Reminds me of the Era Console Table from Crate and Barrel: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=989&f=24180

It looks a little like this table at Bombay. Although the Bombay table is gold and still $500, it has similar style legs and a glass top.

different shape, same feel with the nickel and glass.

The CB2 version is pretty close as well. Not quite as long (and a little more narrow)....but for a tiny fraction of the price, it might work!

Pier 1 has a mirrored console table. The dimensions are small but it's only $80. ( 11" x 23" x 28")On clearance.

The details on this one are a bit fussier, but for $299 you could probably still spring for a couple cans of white spray paint.

Try the WS Home Outlet store in NY-always discounted and may be able to ship it to you!

oooohhh,... Lawyer hit it quite close! the lines are the thing for me, I have furniture that is too stright lined, so I need the shape of the table, the details, and I think I can manage the colors.

I am not sure if we have a WS Outlet around Miami... do we?

:-(

Thank you all!

Sorry, my previous post didn't show up, but first I wanted to thank everybody, specially the Queen of Copy Cats for putting this challenge in her website!
Thanks you all,

Lelis
