Okay guys! Pictures of the ole' home office as promised...
It's not quite finished yet, but oh so close!

The Mr. & I on our wedding day.

I have my laptop is resting on the cake stand I used for my wedding ;)
But it brings it up to perfect eye level. Ergonomics baby!
You might recognize the chair as well, it's filling in right now.
I'm looking for two matching wingbacks.....Comfort is my #1 priority!

I got this antique 1920's solid Oak partner's desk off of Craigslist for only $200!
I wanted a desk that I could spread out and do my freelancing with but also had room for the Mr. whenever he needed it. This worked out perfectly. I had to remove the top of the desk to fit it into the room! I swear it has 20+ screws holding it on...quite the project.

As you can see the top has a few marks on it, but personally, I love the distressing on it. Gives it more character.

I use the Classic Make-Up Sectional from Pottery Barn Teen to organize my desktop supplies. It's like it was made for the office...make-up shmake-up!

The Mr. uses the Pottery Barn Bedford Two-Drawer Paper Organizer to store all his paperwork.

The Eco Desk Calendar is from Anthropologie, but was made by Cat Seto.

This vintage armoir stores EVERYTHING.

I'm not quite sure what to do with this little table area...It's not working for me yet. I was given the very cool retro, schoolhouse-aqua steel paper organizer for free when I bought the desk. Love it!

Of course I had to have design shows on while I work! We scored this flat screen off of Craigslist for only $400! The golf clubs are left over from when this room used to be just the Mr.'s office. And that is the old desk...it's WAY too small to actually do work on. ;)

Now this is the awful little light fixure that came with the house. It definitely doesn't put off enough light for a home office. I'm not quite sure what we should get in here though...any suggestions?

Oh and the wall color is Benjamin Moore Wilmington Tan HC-34 :)

That "awful little light fixture" you have has an official interior design name. It's referred to as the "boob light". ;)

Stand directly underneath it and look up at it. Look at it closely. Now you'll never look at another one the same way again, huh? Sorry for that- couldn't help myself! :)

Love your little vignette by your wedding photo, BTW... great styling!

We are both in agreement then: The boobie light needs to go! :D

Thanks guys! Yea, it's getting there. I really need to hang some stuff on the walls. Unfortunately everything we had on the walls was sacrificed to our Gallery wall in the Master Bedroom...We'll have to get some new things for this room. And I want to replace the drapery hardware, door knobs, the lighting ;) And maybe even the rug...not sure though. Oh and I need to figure out where to put my retro aqua paper organizer. The list goes on and on and on...LOL :D

Huh? I'm confused. This looks NOTHING like the office space you had described a few posts back. What happened to the clean-contemporary version? Sorry but this looks very cluttered and "before" to me. Just saying...

Wow, appreciate the honesty I guess. lol. :) In my last post about the Sapien book shelves, I mentioned that my office is a "sort of old fashioned Oak home office", no? Sorry if you were expecting a space straight out of DWR!

So cute! I love that you have your equipment hidden away in the antique armoire.
